I don't like the 'Back from the Darkness' title at all. It's obviously fake but if for some reason it would turn out to be the real title it would actually make me look forward to the album a little less. It's that bad! Makes it sound as if Noel returns from some sort of depression. I think it will be something completely random that has caught his attention while making the album (along the line of SOTSOG, HC) and therefore it's unguessable for us now. But I wouldn't be too surprised if it turned out to be called 'Noel Gallagher' either. Really like the '(Somewhere) Down the Road' suggestion though!  |

The title is going to have absolutely no bearing on the songs whatsoever. None of the album titles have ever given even a glimpse of the sound of anything on the record. We need a real announcement to happen soon...people are going nuts. |

No, I was not entirely serious. I just wanted to point out that I really don't like this title and if it somehow happened to be the real album title (which it wont be!!!) I'd probably roll my eyes a bit because one just cannot help but take this title literal and it's a bit lame and stupid and out-of-character for Noel as far as I'm concerned.
And of course I'm looking forward to this album no matter what! ;D

Ill print this thread out, and eat it piece by piece if it proves to be true. Its got a better chance of being self-titled than called that. |

I quite like them actually, because they are so random and it's fun to hear the (even more random) stories of how they came about. And I never hated Beady Eye as much as most people on here, though I have to say since English is not my first language I never had the image of a 'beady eye' in my mind when thinking about it. It was just a band name for me, like Jethro Tull, and I thought it sounded quite good  But after Rifles album artwork thread I wouldn't even be annoyed at BFTD anymore ;D Even though we all know that it will never ever happen anyway. |

Noel's clever enough to come up with something new.
Even if it Dig Out Your Soul was something Gem came up with.
"Definitely Maybe" is as good as it gets, so i don't expect something as awesome, but then again i don't know who came up with that.
