I think Timekeeper is frozen in a state of a lost and unfulfilled time. The mirage of the Mafia Board which he loves bringing up because it makes him feel special and a little bit closer to the band.

Personally, my high expectation level and hope for the Noel Solo Project is based purely upon his last 10 years worth of work in Oasis. It's quite clear to me that Noel's songwriting has improved a great deal and matured significantly over that time period. Granted, you can always point to a couple songs here and there that stunk, in an attempt to validate a counter argument (ICSAL & PYMWYMI come to mind), and that's fine. Hell, you won't find me trying to convince anyone that Noel's post 90's stuff is better than his 90's classics. In my view it's a toss-up and I'm torn right down the middle. But in looking over his best material from the final 4 Oasis studio sessions, including b-sides and unreleased demo's, I expect Noel to release an absolute beast of a record later this year. I have no reason to expect otherwise. As the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding.
Go Let It Out Who Feels Love? Gas Panic WDIAGW? Sunday Morning Call Roll It Over One Way Road Carry Us All Let's All Make Believe Revolution Song ALATGCIH WPTWOTWOMS? The Hindu Times Force Of Nature Little By Little Stop Crying Your Heart Out She Is Love Just Getting Older Shout It Out Loud Idler's Dream YGTHOAS Stop The Clocks IWLIADIMRM Lyla Mucky Fingers Part Of The Queue Let There Be Love The Importance Of Being Idle Lord Don't Slow Me Down The Turning Waiting For The Rapture Falling Down
32 reasons to have all the faith in the world in a single man. Like I said, expect a BEAST of a record.

No doubt. Whomever said Noel NEVER disappoints was dead on.
Does that mean he's never put a clunker or two on an album? Of course not.
But, if you look at the 7 LP's (nevermind the singles/b-sides) can you EVER say Noel made a dud or even a TRULY mediocre LP?
No way. Don't say SOTSOG or HC either, as they're his "lowest" two and still, overall, are above tread-waters.
Now, for the first time in a loooonnnng time you're charing this man with putting an ENTIRE LP together with 11-13 tunes.
Get the fuck out of town, the guys gonna have at LEAST 9 songs on it that 90% of the peeps on these boards will be fawing all over. What did we get out of BDI, 3 maybe? That's three REALLY decent tunes?
Bet on it.

Noel-sung songs in the SOTSOG and HC era sounded a bit too generic, but he got better towards the end of the band. TIOBI or TSHB were very nice attempts, and the POTQ/STC sound is what I am looking forward to the most in his record.
Hope he does well, though I'm not 100% sure about it.

I think Noel is over that mopey period of generic songs from SOTSOG/HC, and really keen on trying something new. His songs on DBTT and DOYS were very musically creative, and I think he's going to expand even more on that now. He's on a roll and I don't think he's looking back.
I am expecting great things.
