What do people think of their second album?
I think it's an overall improvement from their debut. It doesn't have an immediate hit in the form of a Geraldine, but it's much tighter and less sloppy. Although the accent makes it a bit hard at times to understand
I know it gets slagged off for it, but I do love the bombastic wall of sound. It's kind of like their BHN. Although it's clear they are trying to be like U2 in ways, although not in the boring and pretentious sense like a Coldplay.
One of my favorites off it is Euphoria, Take My Hand....I love that guitar riff

Glasvegas are so boring to me. It's insane how much they've been hyped up. Glasvegas hasn't written any song that can touch even coldplays second tier songs in my opinion. speaking of coldplay can't wait for their new album, they've been quiet. |

Think the albums quality. Really need to just lie back, light off, headphones on and play the it right through.
Had no idea Glasvegas were so popular though, thought with the accent and all that it would only really appeal to Scots but I guess not. Rated 9/10 by NME and Clash and also went to number 1 in Sweden.

speaking of coldplay can't wait for their new album, they've been quiet. New album will most likely be coming out in October. Before that they're doing Glastonbury and all that. Really looking forward to their new album also. Viva La Vida was a vast improvement on the dull X&Y, so it will be interesting to see what tricks they pull out the bag with this next one. |

Glasvegas are indeed missing an element that would take their songs to the next (and highest level). They're almost soaring like U2 anthems, but are clearly lacking with that aspect. No way are they rubbish, shit, or boring. They're ok, and a good listen every once and awhile. McGee has obviously overhyped them though, I will agree with that.
