Clubs who attempt to achieve success by living well beyond their means are not to be heralded as an example, whether they play in the Premier League or the Conference.
And forgive me, but I'm curious... are you a regular?

I choose not to go. Not that I'd expect you to know that, or indeed have any idea of how many games I have or haven't attended.

yeah, we're talking about different things. Ah, so that means... what? I'd form my own conclusions but I've failed at that once already.

firstly im a season ticket holder and secondly we are debt free and the money spent at the start of the season was recouped in the FA Cup run I think it was a just question given their recent upturn in fortunes, especially remembering that Crawley brought 9,000 to Old Trafford for the cup tie. As a Manchester United fan the same question will be asked of me nine times out of ten, so I wouldn't get uppity about it. And rather than finding excuses to justify unprecedented spending - which will inevitably continue in the summer - perhaps you ought to question whether Crawley can afford to survive as a league club in the long-term without significant investment, and whether the successes of this season were earned or given. You need only look at AFC Wimbledon or FC United as an example of what can be achieved by honourable means.

i think we did earn the success, you only have to look at Man City to see that spending doesn't always result in trophys and titles, you still have to get the players playing as a team and i don't think even the most ardent of united fans could argue that Crawley pushed them to the brink and deserved a replay. It may not have been your entire first team out but you did have Rooney, Carrick, Anderson, da Silva's, Chicharito, O'Shea, Brown, all of which are regular first teamers
you got lucky that day, but from what Fergie said after the game he is bringing the same team down to Crawley pre-season so a chance for us to even the score ;-)
