The bogus thread about the Noel Gallagher album title got me thinking.
What do you guys think is the best Oasis album title and why?
Not to be confused with best album. I personally think that, though WTSMG and DM are assuredly most peoples favorite albums, their titles leave a lot to be desired
Personally my vote goes to Heathen Chemistry. The album might be uninspired but the title definitely is not. I love the idea of rock'n'roll as something like alchemy.
The idea of rock'n'roll being pagan and uncivilized and the creating of the music being like taking the base elements of music and mixing them together in a unique way to form a new composition is incredibly poetic IMO. And that whole idea grows from 2 words.

Dont Belive The Truth for me, everything that we talk is a bit subjetive(even if we try to talk about a certain incident there will be some flaws in it, atleast in the oasis history). And if you think about it there might be a conspiracy thread in the way the band split after it  |

And their last album was Dig Out Your Soul...coincidence? Maybe not! |

Why did you include Time Flies but not Stop the Clocks? STC is the better title of the two.

Also I don't think Definitely Maybe or WTSMG are bad album titles at all...DM is a great contradictory phrase, and having WTSMG be an album title single handedly brought that phrase back into popular consciousness.
I think all of the album titles are pretty good honestly, but my least favorite is Dig Out Your Soul.

I love the explanation for SOTSOG (the whole thing about writing it down slighty wrong (missing the s) and spelling "A bum title")
HOWEVER:
The best one is DBTT for me. Just love the statement of it.
Be Here Now is a close second as it was a proper statement and pretty much explains the album altogether.
Btw, worse one is "The Masterplan" as it's just a song title and shows no originallity for an album title.
Though I do like Familair To Millions actually (gutted it ain't there, just for the choice)

The Masterplan, like, 'here is the Masterplan which made Oasis the band it is/was' the b-sides that could have easily been A sides.

IMO Definitely Maybe is the best title, followed by Be Here Now. Shouldn't have been to late to vote for this.
