Yeppers. But then...I wasn't on the board for an Oasis album release so I couldn't honestly say. But I am loving all the rumors about the guest musicians and interesting collaborations the most...and there wasn't that on Oasis albums. They seemed pretty straight forward. Is it just me? or does there seem to be more anticipation than in the lead-up to BDI? That could just be the fact that we've been warmed up by BDI though. It could very well just be me though. I know. I am unabashedly more a NG fan. ThoughI do really like the BDI mob.

Hate to say it but in terms of excitement, there was more anticipation for every upcoming Oasis record than Beady Eye + Noel's project combined. At least so far. The biggest frenzy is always on leak day. On that day we get hundreds upon hundreds of new users, all looking to download the album and make comments on it. It's a really fun time. There was some of that for Beady Eye, but nowhere near the scale there was for Oasis. We'll see if Noel's album generates that same amount of buzz when it comes out. EDIT: Answering the original thread question, I am definitely more excited for Noel's album than BDI.

I remember the day when this guy asked us "Wich song from DOYS would you like to hear ?" and finally he released the full album during the night... But this NG stuff... More than BDI album and Oasis... When Falling Down (Chemical Brothers remix, the first sample from DOYS we get in 2008) was released I was so in transe, people here : "Yes ! That's the Noel voice ! Amazing !". I just can imagine my reaction when the first track from this new NG will come out... Damn

Yes, but if you were here when DOYS was hyping up you would say that BDI was a kid game. Yep. DOYS was berserk. Literally every couple of days there was a new rumor. They just flowed out and didn't stop. I checked this forum literally everyday for that entire year (and when DBTT was coming out), didn't become an actual member until about a month before the release of DOYS. Don't know what took me so long, probably just pure laziness. But to answer the question, I'm much more excited for Noel's stuff. Mainly because with BDI I was just hoping that they wouldn't fall flat on their faces, with Noel I'm expecting great things.

Yes, cause I don't want a new Oasis album. But I'm equally as excited for the Noel Gallagher solo album as for the new Beady Eye album

No.
I don't understand why, IF Noel's songs are similar to those in Oasis, why we wouldn't want the brand name and Liam's vocals to accompany the album. I would also fail to understand that if his album sounds like Oasis AND is consistently good, why he handed the songwriting spotlight to LAG on recent albums.
Now if it differs a bit from the Oasis sound, then sure. Either way, I'm looking forward to what the man has to offer, but I may be left thinking why Oasis ended up splitting in the first place.....

Now if it differs a bit from the Oasis sound, then sure. Either way, I'm looking forward to what the man has to offer, but I may be left thinking why Oasis ended up splitting in the first place..... Well in past interviews where Noel has discussed the possibility of a solo album (although later he did say he only discussed it to wind up his brother) he always said that he had a lot of songs knocking about that just wouldn't suit oasis. My guess would be that he'd go down this kind of path. I don't think it would sit well with him to embark on some sort of Oasis part 2 tbh. To answer the original question I'm probably more excited about this album then I was DOYS simply because it's something new. There isn't the same buzz about but I'd also suggest thats because Noel has kept things quiet enough and even denied that he's recording at all. With BDI I expected very little and didn't enjoy the end product.
