I think Russell Brand is very funny. I remember Noel once talking about how much Liam hates watching Peter Kay because Kay once insulted one of his jackets or something.
Liam used to like Russell Brand in the beginning. I imagine Russell did/said something to annoy him and that was it...he was no longer funny.

Brand is not that funny to begin with...
his profile has been somewhat raised in this country mainly due to his marriage to katy Perry.
he's not terrible tho but he's no Chris Rock, he's not even on the same level as Louie CK. hell, i rather watch Dane Cook's stand up lol

My take is that Liam is jealous of Russell's relationship with Noel. In any case, the journalist goaded him into those comments by drudging up a 2 year old statement from Noel out of context.

My take is that Liam is jealous of Russell's relationship with Noel. Or that Noel has been mating around with others for the last few years. From around 1991 until about 2005, Oasis as a band probably hung out on stage and off. Now Noel has other mates as well as the band and Liam prefers to be with the band a lot more which is evident within Beady Eye. A disagreement occurs and now Liam is pissed off. |

Great report. The girl's comments are extremely pro-Oasis though - "Noel and Liam - two guys you just have to like", I know tons of people who don't think so Also, good to know Liam would rather eat his own shit than make electronic music  |

That's my take on it as well. I think Liam would be completely indifferent to Russell if Noel and Russell weren't such close friends. Now that he lives mostly in America it's not as extreme anymore, but around the time of the Oasis break-up Noel and Russell were mentioned in the press together aaaall the time, so I guess they must have hung out a lot! It seems Liam was more than a little annoyed by that. I also remember reading some story about Liam being pissed off that Noel hadn't introduced him to Matt Morgan (even though he already knew who he was anyway and Matt obviously knew who Liam was without personal introduction ;D ) |
