A couple of rumours stuck together and a story concocted around it.

This is a silly discussion. Its just going to continue going around in circles.
Sour Mash's story cannot be refuted at this time. It doesn't have to be believed, but nobody has any factual proof to prove its bullshit. Dont believe it until theres more, its your choice on what to believe or not. I choose to think that its more likely true than not. Theres nothing in what he said that is so outlandish it should or can be discounted immediately.
There are aspects of his story that can be proven true right now. Mainly the recording information/process. The Jon Graboff news backs up what mash said about being in LA for overdubs and re-mixing. People are saying that information was culled from somewhere else. WHERE? Where is the information of where Noel was in the recording process prior to sourmash's claim? Not that he was in LA, but specifically his point in the process. We've known he was in LA for a couple of weeks now.
Yes, there's people that have bullshitted before. It happens every album. Hell, I've joined in on many of the pranksters in the past for a laugh. There's also people who tell the truth. Same thing, every album cycle we get some of both.

His credibility takes another hit now that he's making comments on Twitter alluding to listening to Noel's new album. The guy's clearly an attention whore. I like how he tries to play it off later as if he didn't word it that way on purpose. If you read his tweets immediately following: "@topbutton_Digi I just re-read my tweet again! That don't look good! Lol I'm not listening to it now!! Just saying I'm looking foward to it" "@philchell just read that back ha! I'm not listening to it now! Just excited about it that's all. Sadly no, don't work for his label mate" He misworded his anticipation. Considering how he backtracked immediately, I would hardly call that an attention whore. However, he's not deleted that original tweet, so its definitely a red flag. Now if he starts posting song titles and talking like he has heard it, then Id be inclined to go with attention whore. I just think the information (aside from recording process which we have proof of) that he posted could very well be true. Its not outlandish. It very well may not be. Theres nothing to prove it isnt true.

The debate over whether his information is legit or not will go nowhere until some sort of official confirmed announcement is made. But you've got to be delusional if you don't think he made that comment on twitter on purpose. The tweet before that mentioned enjoying the sun and listening to Noel Gallagher, but that didn't get him any attention so he threw the next comment out there with his clever reference to an anticipated release. If you don't at least consider the possibility that he's trying to push buttons then you're in on the gag with him. The more he talks, the less plausible it all becomes.

I stated, I only believe him to the extent of recording information. There is nothing one way or another to prove the rest of it. Its not far fetched to believe. As of this moment, there is nothing to prove or disprove his story about the 2 albums/management etc. Considering just the last album cycle a similar situation arose with Shock of the Lightning, its very plausible as Marcus Russell was involved in that.
Others are saying that the recording information came from somewhere else, yet theres been no source mentioned and no link provided when asked. If the information about recording came from somewhere else, back up that claim. mash's claim about recording process can be verified and that is the only thing that can be right now.

You would make a pretty good lawyer. I wasn't even talking about the information debate in my previous post.
You're defending this guy pretty stubbornly and I thought I made a fairly compelling case that he's possibly trying to stir up some shit with his little comments. You sidestepped that shizz like a pro tho.

Where is everybody getting this idea about 2 albums? I don't know why you guys keep perpetuating that, because sourmash never said anything like that at all. All he said was that Noel has enough material for two albums. That's a big difference than what you guys are all saying.

You sidestepped that shizz like a pro tho. I disagree with you about him trying to stir shit up. That's my whole point. I don't think anything he's said is outlandish enough to be so doubted. He only came on here after his tweet was broadcast by other places. I'm glad he came on. I can't say I'm defending him. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt until more information is out there. I'm fully prepared to disavow anything he's said if proven otherwise. The recording information he gave was the first I personally had heard of it and with the news of Graboff, proved at least that part. I dont know if I should take the lawyer thing as a compliment, but I dont take it as an insult. I also dont consider this an argument, just a discussion.

Not an argument at all, and the lawyer comment wasn't a compliment or an insult really. Very gray area on that one.
I don't really have anything else to add. We just have to sit and wait now I suppose.
