Last nights performance from Richard Ashcroft was nothing short of stunning! Just downloaded his 3rd solo album there (Yeah turns out its been out since last July) Just about listened to all of it and its absolutely brilliant! Loving this so I am. Done a wee bit of googling on the album to my surprise got mainly bad reviews? Just to see what everyones thoughts on the album is?
Apologizes if there has already been a thread on the album.

I don't mind his other solo stuff and Forth, there's some alright stuff on those albums, but his new one is rubbish. I don't know what hes thinking, but he needs to get it together. It's a shame seeing one of the best frontmen of all time falling to such lows.

I've seen Ashcroft with his new band, UNOS last June and they weren't bad.

I saw them a couple of weeks ago in NYC. It was a great show tbf. I don't like the album much at all, but the band is really damn good. He only played two US shows, and the 2nd in Boston ended up being all acoustic. The NYC one had the full band.
