Band sounding tight but were too loud over Liam. Liam and Andy sounded mint, Gem would have been nice too. Cant wait for Bring The Light though, that will be sounding magic.

just watched it... it was pretty good. Liam's vocals were cool, i thought. maybe Gem wasn't singing because someone told his bitchass to focus on not playing the wrong fucking chord on the guitar lol just kiddin' .

I understand why they did Millionaire as the one, but from watching the youtube, did it appear a bit.....lacking a punch? They didnt look as relaxed/confident actually for me, live cameras, one take, Liam didn't have his autocue as normal. It was a solid perofmance though and Liam sang well.
Just think if they'd exploded open the show with FLW it woulda woken up more people who were checking them out for the first time.

Maybe the backing vocal problem might have been because Andy was too loud come to think of it, could have done with turning Liam up a bit more.

Liam looked nervous to me to be honest.
But honestly that is to be expected really. I mean, he is on a very well thought of show by the public, promoting his new album. And he must be aware of his vocal decline over the years. Nevertheless, it wasn't a bad performance

Good performance, but Andy doesn't know how to do backing vocal, Gem does.
Liam singing was ok, but you can see that he was trying hard to sound tighter.

Great performance. Vocals a bit low on the volume, otherwise really nice.
Liam messed up the lyrics in the second verse, singing exactly the same as in the first one xD. He's been doing that more often now. Just like he did in Acquiesce.
During the Lock the Box interview about Acquiesce:
Noel: He never sings it like that, ever. Liam: Just never heard it man.
Are we ever going to hear the correct lyric again? xD

Backing vocals let them down badly, why wasn't Gem doing it? Isn't it always Andy that does the backings on Millionaire? Anyways, I much prefer Gem's backing vocals myself! Especially on The Roller! And BTL with both Gem & Andy is awesome as well And as they will probably play those two on friday, and as Liam is sounding top notch, we'll be in for a treat on friday!

Andy doesn't know how to do backing vocal Sort of agree but I like it when all 3 sing and Liam and Andy are actually singing together and Gem sings higher and in a more backing style that creates something amazing like on Bring The Light. I'd like more of that.

I find Millionaire is so boring. It's that much worse when the sound isn't right.

Watched the youtube video. I thought it was top.
I do agree with The Boy With the Blues, though -- I miss Noel's backing vocals.

Who cares who does backing vocals, you're there to hear Liam sing the song, not decipher the tone of a fucking backing vocal.

Watched it today, was a good performance. The only thing I had a problem with was that, as others on here have pointed out, Liam's mic was too low. Could barely hear him

Backing vocals add depth to a song. In fact, it's one of my favorite parts on the studio version of TGITDS. And who can forget that epic performance of CNS at Maine Road - which much be credited to Noel's performance as equally as it is to Liam's. The way Noel harmonized with Liam was special and magical. It's one of several missing elements from BDI.

Could barely hear him It is the same problem as the Japan gig. Think Liam has stopped soundchecking again? If that is true I hope that it is only until his cold or whatever fully goes away.
