Absolutely amazing. Got very excited when I heard the first notes, didn't expect this at all. Last song of the set, after SOTS. I was expecting Wigwam or something, but this was brililant. My favourite Beatles song. It suites Liam's voice well I think, bit of a struggle on the highest notes though.
Can anyone get audio off this?

Sounded fantastic but he'd better be careful with his voice on this one in future, very tricky to sing and lots of high notes.

that surprised the hell out of me. even though liam forgot the words and missed some of the notes, they did a pretty good job with it.

Would love to hear a studio recorded version of this. Just for posterity.

Not a really good performance. But the intentions are nice.

The band put the song together nicely, and Liam's not horrible on it...we're getting used to good solid vox lately. This is like a 2005 vocal. Not horrible, not terrible but not that great either. Kind of bad.
But the intention is nice, as venoasis wrote and I think it will be a one-off. Glad they decided to be adventurous and try something new...that ssomething, the one thing i really missed in Oasis later days.

I'm sad right now... Liam sounds like he have a really bad cold and is drunk.

Well I was listening to it live at xfm and all I can say is when they said they'd play another song after SOTS I got really nervous because I knew it'd be a big surprise... but I just didn't expect so much. When they started playing ATU I bursted into tears. Yes, Liam can do better (he's been singing ridiculously good during this tour), but it was still devastatingly beautiful in my opinion. (edited just to add that I think ATU is one of the most beautiful songs ever written

They should make a studio version of it with polished vocals a la 'the beat goes on'.I'm pretty sure it will be great,but.....he should never be allowed to sing this song live, ever again....

C'mon, it's not that bad. He snarls at the beginning but it definitely gets better. BDI should do more covers live, ATU is a brilliant choice and imo they really nail it.

His vocals on this cover sounded rather bad on the radio broadcast, but the whole gig did imho, part of it has to do with Liam's vocals, but I think it's mostly just a shitty mix. This is sounding much better imho:
Really just check the clips on youtube. It's more or less the same as the other gigs. Here is four letter word: Isn't sounding much worse then other gigs...

The other songs from the gig sounded pretty good. But not Across The Universe.

I'm kinda dreading Jools Holland now, if Liam sounds like he did last night on that (which he probably will) then its gonna be a painful performance to watch.
Across The Universe was definitely a nice touch to finish last night though, something special for the occasion I guess.
