It was a news flash on a Dutch radio channel called Kinkfm which said that visitors who were on the balcony of the BeadyEye gig in Amsterdam could see Liam was using an Autocue to remember his lyrics.. I must admit Millionaire must be a tough one to remember Found the written article: www.kinkfm.com/popnieuws/10855/Beady_Eye_met_autocue

Who cares? As long as he sings good, I don't really mind things like that

Yup, I was there yesterday, and on the right side of his monitors is an autocue. Didn't notice him looking on it once though...

At least it is a bit hidden, Noel had a musicstand with sheets of music on it for TBWTL

Has Liam always used one?
"The geezer who puts the words in front...." - Liam Gallagher circa 2006 on Lock the Box. Noel looks embarrassed when Liam suggests it, so I'm slightly inclinced to think Liam is telling the truth here....
It's at 2:39 --

It just looks like Liam making a comical "excuse" for why he never sings it and Noel cracking up at it.

So maybe there actually someone that puts the words in front of him.

To me the Jason bit sounds still like part of the joke. Noel begins to laugh and Liam keeps serious face in order to make it even more hilarious. He does that a lot, when he says something that makes people laugh he keeps the serious face on as if there was nothing funny about the situation and goes on.
Anyone else find it weird that if he had had autocues for such long time and no one had ever noticed it before(as far as I know)?

"Jason" would be Jason Roades Noels guitar tech

"I am sure. I'd bet one of my houses on it." BRILLIANT.
(This was in reference to Liam saying that Noel had seven houses and Noel denying it earlier.)

Noel just going 'it's not true', 'it's not true', 'that's not true either'.. This whole interview is class! Especially since it's from 2006 (!) BTW: Is there a video from the TBWTL with Noel with stand with musicsheets? Need to see this myself

In Lord Don't Slow Me Down he makes a reference to it being like "War and Peace" there's so many lyrics floating around. Have to admit i've never seen them in any pics or videos.

Need to see this myself I like the bit after Liam is like "how do you remember all this" and right after that Noel goes on to talk about remembering writing, I think it was Acquiesce, on a train and Liam triumphantly saying "I remember that...I remember that!" and Noel just going, "No you don't. You weren't there." I laughed my ass of at that part. The idea that Liam probably really doesn't remember a good chunk of the 90's tickles me pink!

For the DBTT tour, Liam used a rather ugly "enormous pieces of paper with words on" system - there really was a man who ran out and put his words there at the beginning of the set (or forgot to, in Denver, leaving a very panicky Liam during the first part of TUTS). Since DOYS there has been an autocue, and that seems fair enough, it's pretty standard amongst bands who can afford it these days.

Just out of curiosity, how does a singer - who's been singing the same songs for 15 years - not know the words? I just don't get it.....

Me neither. Did he used an autocue at the previous gigs? Anyway, it wasn't noticable, so probably he didn't really actually used it that much... You really need to see them live, autocue or not, they blew me away, and my expectations were high!! =)

Gonna watch this whole interview again soon. Probably their last epic interview together and one of the funniest. How ironic it is to think that if it wasn't for Liam, Noel could've scraped Oasis biggest sing-along chorus? lol

Anything sung like that would have been anthemic IMO
