Your right I just dont like him. Im not trying to nit pick the person he is, I just believe he's not genuine. Again my opinion. Durrants humble, I like him. Stockton was my 2nd favorite player as a kid behind Jordan, he was humble. Have no problem w/ humble, I do prefer my players cocky though, I just think he has no communication skills and comes across that way. I dont buy it. All I can say is that as a person who has seen him his whole career, including his high school days at Simeon, it's not an act. He's clearly that humble and clearly genuine. He's never been one for the limelight. And he's never been one to step out in front of the camera. He grew up on the south side where his brothers did everything they could do to keep him from being in the limelight because of the neighborhood he lived in. A very rough neighborhood. Almost a warzone. I don't think he could have survived there and not have been genuine. And that's coming from someone who lives on the west side, the little less dangerous cousin to the south side. We will agree to disagree

We will agree to disagree Please, that's the most idiotic pic I've ever seen in my life. Do you know how many young black men throw up those signs that have nothing to do with a gang? I'm college educated and I've thrown up those signs. They have nothing to do with whether someone's character or how humble they are. They're part of the culture that most, including me, have grown up with their entire lives. If you live on the south side your friends throw -up those signs, the people you go to school with throw up those sign, your family throw up those signs, shit, even the mail man throws up those signs. None of them have to do with a gang. It's just part of the culture. You found a random pic of him when he was probably in high school. What you did was actually pretty low and disgusting. Yea, we'll agree to disagree, but that was a pretty shitty way to run a debate.

I googled Derrick Rose grumpy because he always looks miserable. that picture came up and I thought it was funny. I don't think he's an actual gang member.

They should have left the first time they meet on Xmas day. you're right, but this game will be interesting, especially with Chris Bosh's recent comments about playing with Lebron. maybe now that Lebron's left, Bosh will be more than a jump shooter. I never really paid attention to his game before he came to Miami; he has to be more versatile than that...? and him crying after losing to the Mavericks in their first Finals was kinda girly but whatever. I wish nothing but the best for the Heat, I'm a Dwayne Wade fan and think a lot of Pat Riley. God bless.

The game was anticlimactic. Lebron seemed disinterested. Waiters looked good. Liked the aggressiveness of Bosh. Wade still lokks a little slow but should have had a lot more assists. There were a lot of passes he made that were not converted.

What do y'all think about ESPN's player rankings?
I feel that is kinda total bullshit even though they are relatively decent in range quality with regard to certain players. Obviously i feel that it is pretty debatable.
Gonna have to bring up Mr. Kyrie Irving again.
I have to say although damian lillard and john wall had better "years" than Kyrie I would still say that Kyrie is a better player. Lillard and Wall each had a co-star and better supporting casts/coaches. Kyrie is gonna have a huge year with LeBron. It might take 25-40 games to really gel but Kyrie can thrive as a 2/3 option. Great handler, shooter, and passer. He'll get Love and James buckets but they'll help him a lot as well.
That said I'm really excited to see how much Wall grows this year. Great defender and he has developed into a good leader. Pierce and him together makes me excited. The Wiz will have some attitude and will be playing with a chip on their shoulder because they are missing Beal.

I didn't see the whole ESPN list, but Kevin Durant is higher than #8...more like, uh, #2.
God bless.

I dont care if hes injured or not. By midseason he'll be the 2nd best player in the league. No way Wade is #36. Some of the players ahead of him are ridiculous. Mike Conley, Dragic, Lowry?

This season is going to be really interesting. Anyone else buying into the conspiracy theory that Lebron/Wade/Melo etc have all lost weight this offseason because the NBA is going to be testing for HGH now?

Anyone else buying into the conspiracy theory that Lebron/Wade/Melo etc have all lost weight this offseason because the NBA is going to be testing for HGH now? That's the first I heard that theory. Supposedly Wades trainer wants him to put some weight back on but Riley wants him slimmed down. LeBron is still huge. I think he's just naturally freakishly big. He's still all cut up in that new Beats commercial.

I am a New Yorker thru and thru live in Florida now but I bleed New York ciry , so I says tnis as a FACT. im not romantisizing , this espn 30/30 when "the garden was Eden " is why I hate how they make teams and athletes in New York way better than they were in actuality
I was such a fan of NBA then I listened to knick games on radio ( even though I was a laker fan because I loved purple ) as far away as Cleveland and Chicago on am radio
BUT the Knicks won 2 titles and made 3 finals in that run ,they were not this juggernaut that history is trying to rewrite , fact is they were a POOR MANS CELTICS. idont want to hear stats from people who did not live it , I was watching Clyde at MSG from 70 on til he got traded
The Knicks at there best were a entertaining team that needed a miracle in 69 to win and beat a weakened laker team in 73 , if the pistons of the late /early 80 s and 90 s played in NYC and won there 2 titles and consistently challenged , the shows on them now would be non stop ... The garden back then rocked harder for the Rangers than the Knicks. I was there for both ... 79 against the islanders in the semi's was the loudest a building can humanly get including 94 cup .... The knick bias by media romantisizing 2 titles is absurd , and I lived thru it. So I do t wanna hear stats

Now that's the right way to kick off a rebranding of a franchise. I'm super exciting for the Hornets. Not a contender yet but they're going to be a feisty team in the East. Jordan is finally putting together a good team. Kemba and Lance have that competitive spirit that Michael loves so much.
Even though they feel apart in the 4th. This thunder team looks really good with Westbrook running the show. Once they get Jackson back they'll be fine. Gives this team a chance to grow with Durant, and that's a good thing in the long run. From an athletic standpoint Westbrook is probably one of the top 3 players that I've ever seen. Maybe even the top. He is a freak of nature. That dunk before half time was insane.

I think that Lakers train wreck is going to be highly entertaining. Look at the shot totals for last night's game. Kobe with 25 shots. Only 1 other Laker took 10 shots - everyone else in single digits. The rest of that team is going to absolutely hate him by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. I love Kobe, but it would be torture playing with him right now unless you just rally around him and toss winning out the window so he can chase the scoring record.
Westbrook taking 2 seconds to go from roughly half court to the rim is insane! He's gonna beast hardcore with Durant out.
I'm praying the Bulls stay healthy as they seem like the only team that can give Lebron a run unless the Cavs just don't gel at all.
