If the Lakers can turn Gasol into a good player or 2 and get a little younger, they'll be a threat. excuse me sir? he's not good? Not saying he's not good. He's obviously really good and one of the main reasons they went to 3 Finals in a row and won 2 titles. He just didn't fit well in his role with the team last year. Last year he was the 3rd option after Kobe and Bynum. He was supposed to be traded for Chris Paul and generally looked like a shell of himself on the court. He wasn't playing in the post as much...they had him camped out further from the paint than he's used to and his numbers and effectiveness suffered for it. Now that the Lakers have Nash, things may be different. Nash is a pick and roll master and a fantastic shooter. He will change their entire offense as long as the coaching staff isn't retarded. The Lakers are probably #2 in the West now and if they swap Bynum for Dwight Howard they've got to be the favorite to win it all.

i hope the Lakers get Dwight Howard so a team can actually give the Heat a challenge next year, although i still have the Heat to win the title.
God bless.

with ray allen shooting three's and Mike Miller coming in as his backup the rest of the NBA are far and away behind the Heat next year. At least my Rockets now have Jeremy Lin to make it somewhat interesting to watch Houston basketball again....

It's crazy rubbish. Howard isn't going to end up there. They will be awful next year.

Dwight to fucking LA. Holy hell man. Nash, Kobe, Gasol AND Howard. That is just unfair. Everyone but Dwight is on the decline, but still...that's a whole lot of talent for 1 team, and all at different positions too. Lakers gonna be scary good if they stay healthy.

Unless I hear different, I don't know why Orlando approved of this deal. They had the best pieces, but received by far the less in return. Just weird that they held out on a trade with the Nets for Brook Lopez for this......

has this been confirmed? It will be nice to see Lakers now, if they do something else than Nash assisting to Kobe

Can't believe Orlando held out all this time and then work a trade like this that benefits 3 other teams and does next to nothing for them. They got rid of Richardson's contract, but the picks they're going to get won't be any good because all 3 teams were already good and just got better. Orlando is officially the worst franchise in the NBA.

They might as well have kept him till trade deadline. I would have thought that the offers would be upped a bit by then. Every team in this deal got exactly what they wanted, except Orlando. And Orlando that the best and most valuable piece of all the teams involved.

Forgot about the Bobcats, haha. I suppose they do take the cake - so much so I forgot they even exist. Orlando has to be 2nd then. Can't believe they made that trade, but i'm happy. I like watching the Lakers and it makes things interesting since the Thunder won't run away with the West now.

Yeah, Jordan might have been a September call up if baseball didn't go on strike in August of 1994. He would have sold plenty of tickets for the White Sox. He had no real future with them. He was like 32-33 years old and it was a payback from the Bulls/Sox owner for dominating in the NBA. Michael definitely did have rookie cards for baseball. My brother and I own plenty of them. Listed in the Beckett magazine under the 1994/1995 seasons as RC (Rookie Card). They range from $2 to $15 so yeah, basically worthless considering where I thought they'd be in 2013 compared to when I was 12 in 1994. 1994 Upper Deck Rookie Card 1994 Upper Deck Collectors Choice Rookie Card 1994 SP Hologram RC
I also owned his minor league baseball card *** This collection is available for sale by the way. He also had a special promo card from the 1991 season (still active in NBA, not baseball yet)

Jordan's baseball cards are worth nothing b/c hobbiests don't like posers! He also tried to play when players like Griffery Jr., Frank Thomas, Ivan Rodriguez, Mike Piazza, ARod and a number of others were just hitting their stride in the MLB and mattered to the sport. But in general, early 90's cards are worth very little due to over-production/exposure.
