What did we expect? Its a miracle that it appeared on the Billboard charts at all considering the dismal promotion the album was given.

What did we expect? Its a miracle that it appeared on the Billboard charts at all considering the dismal promotion the album was given. this. that what not releasing a single in America will get you. Terrible sales. and no, just making the thing available to download doesn't count. you have to promote the thing and your label has to make a big push.

Liam will doubtless be gritting his teeth, as he swans around his luxury gaffe, as reports these disappointing returns come in......how is he going to fund that planned extension wing , private helicopter and landing pad, etc, on the back of weak returns like these?
However, the group will doubtless soldier on for a good while yet. There is still the upcoming saga of Noel's solo extravaganza, and it will be interesting to see who will be the more successful of the two siblings..........
Naturally, in the unlikely event of Noel's future work proving to sink like a bomb, that inevitable 'Oasis Comeback' tour and album will surely surface, but whether it will prove to be as truly 'Rock and Roll' as the Stones in the 21st Century is open to question.
Here's hoping that Beady Eye can build a following beyond the immediate fanbase as witnessed on forums such as this one.

The ONLY reason I know who Beady Eye is , is b/c I am an Oasis fan. There has been absolutely NO marketing, videos, airplay etc. of Beady Eye in the U.S.
A hit song would be the only way for it to make waves.

^not yet and i dont know if that s a good thing or not.
seems that ptcfork want to totally ignore Beady Eye.you will not find any comment, even a bad one, something, anything, whatever about them!!!
on thew other hand can you imagine a pitcfork review about the album? i was thinking to start a thread with imaginary verdicts but i wanted to stay away from the "eye" of pitcfork n not give them my "precious" ideas...probably it could be something such as ... verdict:2,4/10 or verdicts without numbers, only words!!!f.e. verdict: Oasis without Noel! (remember their verdict for british sea power?=U2) or verdict: dont pay anything! (remember radiohead review?) or verdict: Beatles should go to hell only for that album. or... ok you know what i mean... it could be a great laugh anyway...
