I was just wondering and, IMO, Gem and Andy really improved in their songwriting while Liam didn't quite followed...
I mean if I had to rank them (lists, who doesn't love them?) it would be something like this:
GEM:
The Roller Three Ring Circus To Be Where There's Life Eyeball Tickler Wind Up Dream Hung In a Bad Place Standing on the Edge Of Nice The Quiet Ones
ANDY:
Turn Up The Sun Four Letter Word The Beat Goes On Kill For A Dream Millionare Thank You For The Good Times A Quick Peep The Nature Of Reality
LIAM:
Songbird Guess God Thinks I'm Able Born On A Different Cloud I'm Outta Time The Morning Son Love Like A Bomb Bring The Light The Boy With The Blues Soldier On Better Man Beatles And Stones I Believe In All Pass Me Down The Wine For Anyone Aint Got Nothing The Meaning Of Soul
Of course this is very personal but I believe Liam's songs in DGSS are not his finest efforts while Gem's and Andy's are awesome...

I dont think we have a true indication yet, still a lot of songs lying about from years ago that they have used now. That seems to be the case with Liam for a long time so maybe the next album or two we will see his more recent work.
Just comparing output from Liam shows an improvement. HC = Better Man, BOADC & Songbird & DGSS = Beatles & Stones, Wigwam & For Anyone. Comparing 3 similar songs, I would say he has come on a lot but still has a long way to go and maybe 5 years down the line we will get the whole package.
Also think its fairer if you compare a song in style too. Songbird Vs Beatles & Stones is unfair as they differ so much. But if I said compare B&S to Better Man, AGN, MOS & TMOS then I think his most recent would be up there as a better rocker, in my opinion at least.

You can't possibly show how LAG evolved when Noel picked the likes of TNOR because it fit DOYS instead of a better tune Andy had knocking about.
By all means, rank their output, but don't try to draw any conclusions from it. It would simply be erroneous on so many counts.

We dont know exactly how many tunes from DGSS were written during the Oasis era, but jeez, chill the fuck out, it's a simple observation of what the lads put out there in the last few years, I'm not interest if Andy wrote TBGO while taking a crap in 2001 and Noel disliked it then....
But I still prety much agree with some points from The Morning Son...

The Boy With The Blues, Soldier On, Better Man, Beatles And Stones better than For Anyone? That list is very personal indeed. For me, BOADC, GGTIA, LLAB etc. are good songs, but I prefer his songs for BDI.

For Anyone sounds like something I would hear on children's television. It annoys the hell out of me.

NME said that Liam wrote BAS and FA in 2009.
