It could make a huge difference to sales
In my opinion TBGO stands out as a single but they could go with KFAD or FA but FA has got summer single written all over it
I think they will take turns to release singles
TR - Gem (Jan) TBGO - Andy (April) FA - Liam (July)
Then I'd release TRC as it's a tune :-)

if they want alternative radio to play their next single, it's gotta be either TRC or SOTEOTN. release anything else and you wont get any spins.

I'm thinking For Anyone as a summer single as well. I do hope they release something before that though. They could release a new song like they did with Bring The Light and Four Letter Word before The Roller came out as an official first single.
To be honest, I'm way more excited about any of the potential new b-sides we might have.

I listened to their Radio 2 interview which is on the newsroom & Gem said they are going the Vinyl way & putting B-Sides on them so we definitely haven't had the last of the vinyl, be good if they released tracks with new B-Sides on & then they can release proper singles for the masses

Commercially TBGO is the obvious choice and could do wonders for the album.

Commercially TBGO is the obvious choice and could do wonders for the album. I thought so too at first...but the professional critics really don't seem to like TBGO. Most praise BTL and Wigwam, very few point out TBGO as a highlight. For Anyone is a good choice imo, TRC as well. TBGO is just too special to be released as a single.

I think Q are the only ones so far to hail TBGO as a highlight

The critics ignore The Beat Goes On in their reviews, simply because they hate liam and they don't want them to succeed.
It is obviously a beautiful song, much stronger melodically than all of the retarded bollocks on the charts today and if it have been released in 1997 as a single,it would have been recognised as a masterpiece....it is the best song since Let's All Make Believe in my opinion....

^Yeah, but even very favorable critics don't mention TBGO as an exceptional song. So it can't be just Liam-haters...

I couldn't give a flying fuck about critics man.Critics are so stupid that some of them claimed that Bring the Light is the best song on the album, when it is obviously the worst....it doesn't have a hint of a melody anywhere and the only good thing about it,is it's exciting tempo.....

^How ironic, I had the impression you valued "tempo" quite much. And while you might not care about critics, I'm sure BDI do. They'll release the song with the best financial potential as a single.

I said that the only good thing is the tempo because the melody is absolutely shit.It is not enough to make it a good song.Oasis had great songs which were sabotaged by shitty,slow-motion tempos and even worse brickwalling production....which part you don't understand?

I love TBGO but I think maybe its better as a fan favourite that was never a signle, like Slide Away.
I think the next single should be Millionaire. SOTEOTN would be great but its another Gem song and its only fair to give one single to each writer.
The Roller (Gem)...just hope we get a better bside than Two of a Kind. Millionaire (Andy)...KFAD might seem better but doesnt go anywhere and M is short and sweet For Anyone (Liam)...though I'm sure many will say its Songbird rewritten

I doubt there will be another single. They've released 3 promo songs already, another one won't achieve anything.
If they were though then I would have said The Morning Son or Millionaire. TBGO is too bland for a single.

It has to be The Beat Goes On, it's the only song with potential for some sort of commercial success. I think millionaire should be released as the third and final single in the summer just for the sake of releasing a third single as I don't think it'll do that well but it'll be a nice summer tune.

I think its wierd everyone thinks TBGO sounds like a single, sounds quite uncommercial to me. I reckon KFAD would be a good choice, as someone mentioned a while back it could break them in America

The 2 best song choices for singles are for anyone and the beat goes on......these are the 2 most commercially viable songs by far (I'm not talking best here) and have to be released as singles in particular for anyone, its simple catchy and short-perfect for radio.......so similar to songbird and that single did wonders for heathen chemistry (oasis' last real big selling album). You gotta think with a marketing brain & leave personal preference out of it.......for anyone and the beat goes on have to be singles and if they aren't then it's another clanger dropped by the management/record co of beady eye & oasis - promotion of both has been terrible for years.
