Thank you for sharing this. I thought it seemed obvious from the omission of west side venues but this is a sign of confirmation.

I don't doubt that they wouldn't at one point play LA/WestCoast, my beef is why do we have to WAIT till fucking August? They're playing Japan in a few months, which is right across our way. They are playing the East Coast in June, why not just do westcoast dates at that same time? FML, whateves.

I gotta admit, the the seasonal break makes no sense to me. There no rhyme or reason to it. I would get if you did like 5 shows all at once to test the water, but 3 shows in the Summer, and then more in the fall? Doesn't really make sense to me.

I agree, I dont think they are testing the waters though, this is their legit US tour. A whopping 3 shows in the east and probaly 3 or 4 shows in the west. They are just making a pit stop here to play a few shows in areas where they will have a good chance to sell out.

Sadly, I wouldn't call a solitary gig in NYC an "East Coast Tour." Even if they come back and play 2-3 more gigs along the Western part of the country, it's still pathetic. They will still have missed so many big cities, namely Boston, Philadelphia, and DC (ahem).
And then there's the South that's being completely missed out on, too.
Whoever is responsible for this absolute clusterfuck of a US 'tour' needs to have their job re-examined.

^^Agree.
To a point they're almost wasting their own money doing this. This tour will not help them promote a damn thing. If you're not willing to work at, then don't do it.

Well, I just think they wanna have some time off, with their families or something, in the summer... Playing a bunch of gigs in march, april, may and june is a lot of traveling.
I know a lot of you probably think it sucks, but I for one am extremely happy... Since I'm moving to LA in august, I'm gonna be able to see BE 2 times this year. For me that is WINNING!

^^Really?!? Family?
Kinda should have thought about that before they put out the album, don't you think? If you keep saying that yer made fer it, with the music, then promote your music.
I doubt if it has anything to do with family. Liam has said himself that he loves to tour, and doesn't Gem and Chris bring their kids with them on the road sometimes or something?
I don't think this is a Noel situation. I think its just people saying to Liam "hey Liam, we gotta hit America?" Liam:"really? I can't be arsed. Let's just do a few shows here and there. They don't understand us anyway in America." It just seems to me like they don't want to come here, and they've kinda half assing it. I could be wrong, but that's what I think.
I'm kinda disappointed with Liam and co. even though they are coming to my sweet home Chicago.

I don't think it's that. England to West Coast America is a substantial flight. If they wanted time off with their family they would have been better off just flying over to America once. Could it not just have something to do with the venues? Maybe even one of the venues they wanted to play didn't have a date that worked for them in July so they decided to just defer all the West Coast dates to August. I know that many gigs in my city are supported by radio stations...maybe it was to do with a deal with a radio station. I dunno...there is more to planning a tour than just what Liam wants. BDI, particularly in America, aren't a big draw. They don't have a big name and they don't have the big tunes...so they are hardly in the strongest position to tell people when things are going to be done. I think spaneli has a point that it doesn't look they are going to put much work into America. The fact is that America takes a long time to tour properly and with the fact that Liam won't have the same draw as in the UK or Europe they would have to do a lot more to win over the crowd...and Liam doesn't seem to be that kind of geezer. Barring an unexpected radio-hit...BDI will hardly be a blip over here, sadly.

As I mentioned earlier, Los Campesinos were a new UK band with no hits or anything in the US and they were able to have 2 successful US tours, playing to mostly sell out venues that have a capacity of 2,000. So you're telling me that a new band with no prior US commercial success can sell out these venues, but the remnants of Oasis can't? Liam and co would be successful in the US, all you would have to do is mention the tagline of 'The band that was Oasis" Drop that band reference to Oasis in, and that's all the promotion you need. Simply put, you are correct when you say the band just can't be arsed. But it has nothing to do with them failing to be successful in the US. If bands like Los Campesinos can do it, so can established musicians like Liam, Andy, Gem, and Chris. And because this is evidently clear, imo, makes me even more angry that they won't try. It is possible to not care about making it big in America and actually being fair to your already established fan base in the US. Oasis found that balance. BDI, for reasons unknown to me, aren't treating their fans well, and that's the most pathetic element of it all.

NEWSFLASH: Oasis aren't very popular, or well-recieved in the united states anymore. it's no longer 1995, move on. they should play more than 3 shows. but to have a full scale tour or play large venues would be ridiculous.
