MAD FOR IT AT ICKE LECTURE
NOEL GALLAGHER has become a DAVID ICKE devotee. The mad for it Oasis star invited his band to see Icke give a five-hour talk in Brixton.
One of Icke's bizarre conspiracy theories is that a group called the Illuminati have chosen every US president.
Perhaps Noel can call on their help to crack the US market

who is this Icke guy anyway ? David Icke is an ex-BBC sports presenter from the 80's who had a brain melt and proclaimed he was actually 'the son of God', amongst other equally ridiculous claims and beliefs. He now writes seriously odd books and tours the country giving lectures. source CNS

One of Icke's bizarre conspiracy theories is that a group called the Illuminati have chosen every US president. never heard of the Illuminati but i just checked this Icke guy's website. He talks about the Bilderberg group which i've read about before. Some strange stuff going on there. The most powerful men in the world meet regularly, unofficially, and chat about everything and anything. Seems like David Icke has some pretty weird ideas - but i love all the conspiracy shit so i'm gonna read more of his website! ;D Its like real life X-Files! only without the aliens and the sexy red head ;D

if some of you guys are really interested into that conspiracy theories thing than i recommend the novel "Foucault's Pendulum" by Umberto Eco (1989).
it deals extensively with the whole (hi)story of the illuminati, the templars, the jewish kaballa etc. everything embedded into a quite complicated plot.
the book seems to plod along, Umberto Eco is not a easy read. this is not a stylistic issue but rather that his books include vast amounts of information: history, obscure facts and rich background for the characters. Eco provides some explanation, but rarely enough. it is easy to feel lost in such a complex and rich tale.
so if you're more into literature that demands some intellects then go for it.
