My brother works for a publication called the Montreal Mirror, this is his review of the album
BEADY EYE Different Gear, Still Speeding (Beady Eye/Maple) The feuding Gallagher brothers have split for good this time and singer Liam is choosing to look back in anger, Beady Eye being his futile attempt at showing songwriting sibling Noel he’s peachy post-Oasis. This rebound record thus feels sloppy and rushed, but Oasis’s most ardent defenders can take solace in knowing a triumphant reunion at Glastonbury 2020 is only about 16,425 pints of Boddington away. 3/10

He missed a point... the development of Liam as a lyricist and BHN

Did he actually get paid for that shit? He may not like it but how is it 'sloppy' or 'rushed', the production at the very least is reasonable.

He might've meant that some of the songs could have used more development. Which I agree with. Too many fade outs (read: cop outs), and not enough bridges/middle eights that take things in a different direction. As much as their whole 'the first idea is the best idea' approach makes a good soundbite, I feel like they could've/should've put more thought into the songs. No need to OVERanalyze, but it does feel a bit UNDERanalyzed. To me, anyway...

A bit lol haha. Why does a fade out mean a cop out btw? It's the easiest way to end a song. It usually means the band couldn't figure out a good way to end it.

A band of professional musicians can't end a song? hmmmm...is it just not sometimes used on albums across the decades? So all these musicians couldn't finish all those songs? Fair enough if you don't like it.

Fair enough if you don't like it. And fair enough if you do. There are definitely instances where songs can benefit from fade-outs, but it can also be a crutch. Easier to just fade a song out than to really put time/work into ending it creatively. This is, obviously, just my opinion.

Also knowing when and where is better is something BDI and profesional musicians should known

My brother's rating of 3 was just an arbitrary number, later he told me his real rating was 5, can't wait to show him the comments so far

Yeah, yer brothers a cock mate! Spent more time trying to think up his "funny" closing statement than actually putting any time into either listening or reviewing the album.
