I sometimes think Liam says these things about Radiohead to deliberately distance his band from them. He probably knows they're about twice as talented as Beady Eye so it's easier to go on the attack and avoid being compared on the same playing field.

Radiohead isn't twice as talented..... They are not half as talented...Thier new cd is aweful... when I listened to it i thought it was a joke...It's not even listenable....I own a couple Radiohead cd's but they have went to total shit.....

I think they're called Fitz and the Tantrums. Funny, alot of people would say that about Liam.  I'm all for people having their owns taste, but saying something is complete shit because you don't like it, just makes you sound like an idiot. You can say something doesn't align with your tastes, but that doesn't mean its shit. I hope no one gets defensive, but imo Radiohead are a lot talented band than BDI. Don't think BDI could make anything as good as OK Computer. That doesn't make BDI bad or anything, just don't think they are as talented collectively as Radiohead. imo Not to sound like I know what people think, but I think some people get overly defensive when comparing their bands to other bands. Especially when that talk turns into which band is more talented. Unfortunately, it turns into mud slingling, and people saying that someone is shit because they don't fit in their tastes. Its amazing how a lot Oasis fans complain about how people do that to Oasis, but its okay when someone does it to a band like Blur or Radiohead. This gets compounded even more because of the fact that Radiohead gets so much credit by critics (especially American), and Oasis doesn't. Because of that, I think Radiohead becomes an easy target for some to just pile on, because they are the "in thing". (that's not saying that I don't think people have valid reasons not to liking Radiohead, ie, the music. Just feel that other things enter into the equation when some judge Radiohead. Like with any band, such as when people judge Oasis) That's just my opinion. Again, don't mean to offend or anything. |

I just wish that Radiohead would pick up a guitar again. I think there's like two songs on the new record with guitar on it. What does Ed do in that band anymore? Johnny just plugs and unplugs a switchboard.

Radiohead's definitely more ambitious than bdi!, so that can create an illusion to seem that they are more talented and in contrast a band that just stays put in rock only creats a notion that their abilities are limited!
But the way it seems to me...Radiohead's only "more talented" when it comes to making boring and painful electronica music!.
Rock mode to rock mode......bdi would blast radiohead!!
