Bough it at "Last Record Store" in Santa Rosa, California (thats actually the name of it btw, although it is probably the only record store here too haha) Walked in the door, and what do i hear playing over the speakers? The last few minutes of The Morning Son!! I searched for the album, finally found it under the Oasis tab the guy behind the counter said that they just finished playing it and i asked him what he thought of it, he said that he liked it and that it was basically just Oasis music still... He then talked about about how Dangerbird records was very secretive about this CD, he showed me the promo cd they got, just a plain white CD-R with Beady Eye and Different Gear, Still Speeding typed on it. (He wouldn't let me have it haha) anyways cool that this album is getting some buzz around the music community!

picked mine up today from Best Buy... i was looing for it and couldn't find it. finally i asked one of the guys who works there to help me out. I had their weekly ad and asked him where they had DGSS(poiting at the picture of it on the paper ad) and he showed me to where they had it. I asked him, you guys only have 1 copy? i need to buy 2, i said. he was like "hmm... le me see" he went to the back and got me another copy. There was nothing to be found in the NEW RELEASES section of the store. All they had was the Cher/Christina Aguilera album and i think a few copies of Adele's album. such a shame...
i stopped by Target and they didn't have any of the new releases. lol

People don't like Liams behavior nor do they like his voice(they think its too nasally?). By looking at some of the incoming reviews averages users on Itunes they think the music is lame

those same people you're referring to , are the ones who love crap like Rihanna, Lady gaga and think Maroon5 are the greatest thing on earth.

The behavior argument would work in the late 90s, but I don't think that holds substance anymore.....

i don't think it's the behavior of Liam, it's the attitude of Liam that the american general public doesn't like. the 'i'm great and i know it' attitude that many americans have as well. but yeah, the american general public doesn't even know Oasis aren't a band anymore, let alone heard of Beady Eye.

It's also the fact that Oasis and now Beady have had zero promotion over here since Be Here Now. Like I said in another thread, if Oasis had promotion over here and actually got their songs played on the Radio they would be a lot bigger over here because their songs are so much better then the crap in the past 10 years or so.

They had five copies left at Target when I went at around 4:30 (I preordered it and got it on Monday) and my brother just told me that he got his at a tiny record store in our home town and they were playing it there when he went in to pick up his pre-ordered copy.

Bought mine at HMV at 9:15 this morning, lol. Shop opened at 9 of course. The Roller was playing when I got in , but they weren't playing the album. They actually played Morning Glory after TR. I waited for another Oasis song but they played some dance pop crap.

I frankly could care less about the general American public liking this record, do we seriously want people who enjoy Top 40 hits at gigs? Fighting for tickets? No way. IMO most of the general public are stupid, they listen to FM radio, watch American Idol every night.... have NO concept of what good music is and seriously its not all there fault its the idiot A & R guys at record companies going "Thats' Hot" at some auto tuned garbage and because most people are sheep they think its good music. Seriously the behavior thing is not true anymore, you have loads of Rappers going to jail, selling tons of records, and no one has a problem with that. I cannot fathom that Liam going "Oh I am great" is worst than Lil Wayne having a loaded semiautomatic on his tour bus!?!?! Alright rant over

When I purchased my copy from Best Buy, they didn't have any out on the racks yet, so I found them on this cart thingy next to a list for filling the end-caps. Beady Eye wasn't meant to be on the end cap, so I picked up the lot (about 5 or so.) and stuck them right between Adele and Aaron Lewis on the end-cap.
People should not be swayed by corporate decisions.

picked mine up at FYE, it was beady eye hidden behind beatles. saw it at best buy for 7.99 but didnt buy it because i wanted the CD DVD edition. and the DVD is disappointing.
i don't care if other people like it, and im not going to try to sway the general american public. it's a special CD to me and that's what matters.

Got mine at Target for $9.99 here in central Missouri. Went to Best Buy and the sticker price was $13.99. Did those of you who got it at BB get it for $7.99? Went to Wal-Mart, and they didn't have it.
