Was very suprised/disapointed Beady Eye arent playing, seeing them at Wolvo though so its all good...
Still gonna go to V though, for Arctic Monkeys, Courteeners, Primal Scream, Manic Street Preachers, Ocean Colour Scene and the rest.

They could be added at a later date but doubt it, bands who arent at V usually play Reading/Leeds so they could be there instead.
Have to agree that V is looking woeful this year, some class acts surrounded by pop. T In The Park looks the best so far or Isle of Wight.

After seeing the line-up to V Fest am glad they ain't doing it. The line-up is absolutly awful!! Not one act I'd go out of my way to see. Am telling you, it's awful!!

V was born out of the britpop era wasnt it? And it was great until about 2009, turned into something ridiculous now.
I would recommend Oxegen in Ireland to anyone. I went last year and prides itself on being a rock'n'roll festival. Gets a fair few pop outs but they are down the pecking order and outweighed by big headliners or rock/indie acts.

V Festial this year is not that bad. Artic Monkeys Primal Scream The Courteeners Stereophonics Ocean Colour Scene Manic Street Preachers Kasier Chiefs Not that it doesnt have positives, but far too many negatives. TITP has Arctic Monkeys, Beady Eye, Pulp, Primal Scream, Ocean Colour Scene, Manics plus other good acts or more alternative/rock acts as opposed to Pop. If it had a standout headline act that nobody else had they I'd give it some thought.

V has always been a bit more tame/soft when compared to Glastonbury, T in the Park and Reading/Leeds. These other festivals tend to be a bit more wild and on the rocking side.
This years V line up is not the best they have had. But it ain't that bad. Take a look at Glastonbury. When was the last time they had a strong line up every day?
Reading & Leeds is always rocking, but there is always a few dodgy bands thrown in. And not much variety.

All I can see is a load of Radio 1 roadshow acts and Johnny Borrell with a pirate, a vampire and a chav. Does this also mean our ears are soon to be bashed by new Kaiser Chief "music" too? Also, how do Stereophonics keep selling out arenas?
