rolling stone is absolute trash, they gave Be Here Now 4/5 stars and its been down hill ever since... RS has lost all credibility (and not just for this review, its been crap for years), honest joke.

That's the review? Wow, the journalist really went into great detail. *eyeroll*
Honestly, I've heard 4 year olds give more authentic and thorough reviews when asked about a can of Spaghetti-Os.

ahahaha, well at least they're basically saying that it is as good as DOYS A bit higher than I thought it would be. Didnt think that it would get more than 2 stars.

I can see the scenario now. "Hey Stacey you're 30 something & a R'N'R expert... you remember Oasis right? Here's Beady Eye's album. Oasis minus Noel. I'm sure it isn't any good. Make a reference to 'Be Here Now' (where that comparison is from is beyond me....DGSS barely has electric guitars) . Our readers will remember that's where Oasis lost it in the states."
The only consistent thing these critics like is 'Bring The Light'!!!
Maybe SPIN magazine will have a more thorough review.

Oddly enough, I think RS gave DOYS 3.5 stars. I know they gave DBTT 3.5, but at the same time, instead of praising it, it was a bit of a lackluster, unpromising 3.5. As if liking Oasis (or in this case, BDI) is totally uncool among music journalists. *shrug*

(they updated their revews and bumped it down to a 2.5/5). DOYS got a 2.5/5 Here's the DOYS review www.rollingstone.com/music/albumreviews/dig-out-your-soul-20081016

I've been a subscriber to RS for 16 years and certainly not for the reviews. They are so terrible at reviewing albums. I guarantee they will be ALL OVER the new REM album that comes out next week. They'll say that it is their best record in twenty years and blah blah blah.

I never have liked rolling stone. They are a bunch of socialist/communists over there. LoL. Who are you, Rush Limbaugh? Rolling Stone are the vanguard of the corporate neoliberal (a poorly named term) if-it-sells-just-do-it agenda that's been corroding our society.

Most of the reviews I have read obsess on Liam and Noel not getting along, as was the case with damn near every Oasis album review post-BHN. It's so lazy. I don't care if they like the album or not, but at least listen to the songs and base the review on that. Making it about a story line that's been beaten into the ground for 16 years is pointless and does nothing to help people decide if they want to buy the album or not. But it's nothing new. As someone mentioned in an earlier post, it's somehow uncool for too-hip-for-their-own-good music "journalists" to like anything associated with Oasis. Meanwhile, Kanye West could fart into a microphone and they'd call it groundbreaking and brilliant. Just my two cents.

the last time I picked up a RS and read it cover-to-cover was back in 1993. It's so fucking mainstream it's pathetic. If you're not a Jonas, Miley, Bieber, Gaga, Kanye etc etc you're getting a shit review. My question is, it's twothousandeleven, who still reads this fuckin tampon? TBH, the music I dig is always getting bad reviews by every rag out there, I don't need some punk ass 22yr old hipster intern telling me what I should and shouldn't like. I'm free to like whatever I like. End of.

Reviews are all shit it's only some writer getting paid for talking shit & most probably listening to a minute of each song.DGSS is a great album & i have R.E.M.'s new album it's excellent some real great tunes,1 of a few great bands still left IMO.
