Punk stars wear insults as badges of honour Sum 41 don't care if you think they suck -- people more famous than you hate them even more. The Ajax, Ont., foursome have been dissed by everyone from Oasis's Noel Gallagher ("I'm just glad I lived long enough to hear the s--tiest band ever") to Blur's Damon Albarn, who called them a boy band with tattoos. But the Sums wear those insults as badges of honour. "When Noel Gallagher said that, that was actually a huge compliment that he actually knew who we were," says guitarist Dave Baksh. "To get slandered from names that big is pretty cool; we're used to local kids making fun of us. We've upped the ante a little bit." Indeed, Sum 41 are so proud of being insulted by the British rock stars they posted the quotes on their Web site. source: canoe.com
