Hmm... Wasn't there talk of an old unreleased Noel song called Daytona Dream Rebound?

Sorry, Daytura Dream Rebound From: www.mrmonobrow.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/unheard/notebook.html Datura Dream Rebound Mentioned in Noel's notebook as a possible title for the second album. This song was mentioned as 'Daytura Dream Deferred' in Paolo Hewitt's 1997 book 'Getting High: The Adventures Of Oasis', in a section where Noel and Johnny Marr were on their way to a guitar shop sometime around the Autumn of 1993. 'On the way, Marr offered Noel a spliff but Noel refused. He explained that his doctor had told him that his low blood pressure made marijuana bad for him. 'I have to stick to chemicals,' Noel explained with a laugh. Marr asked him if he was now experiencing more vivid dreams. 'There's a medical term for it,' Marr explained, 'it's called something like daytura dream deferred. When you come off the spliff, you get your dreams back.' Instantly, Noel's radar switched on. 'That's a top song title,' he exclaimed. 'Mind if I have it?' The next day, Noel wrote a song called 'Daytura Dream Deferred'. Also mentioned here: www.nme.com/news/noel-gallagher/702

Wow, the evidence is compelling! I guess the "Noel died in a car crash and was replaced" conspiracy theory was true all along! Now I wonder if he really landed on the moon or if that was a hoax too?

The echo/backing vocals is the second time around is immense. Love that part.
Also, if you think the lads went through Noel's 1980s written down material, then you're crazy. It's a coincidence - if that, even! - that they both mention 'dream rebound.' Sigh

I'm not suggesting that. I'm just saying it's a strange/unusual phrase and I'm speculating that maybe Noel mentioned it to Andy and it stuck with him. I'm pretty sure I read that the vast majority of the album was written while Oasis were still together.

Well, I guess everyone learned from Noel how awesome is to write about dreams, souls and the light that shines on them
