If you dig deep enough, every damn song is derived from another song or two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/ All music is a rip off of some sort, the people who write music listen to music and are therefore inspired by this. You could pick any song by any artist and find a track that is similar if you could be bothered.....a lot of songs by the beatles, stones etc....are rip offs of music they listened to....a lot of blues & 50's rock n roll.

I don't know if it was already mentioned but BTL's chorus is identical to Get it On's chorus by T-rex

Music is a very subjective experience and people will always have different perceptions of a tune. Plagiarism is a touchy subject. George Harrison, for instance, didn't even know he'd ripped off (was it the The Animals?) on his track My Sweet Lord which resulted in a new legal term 'subconcious plagiarism'.
Having said that, I feel a strong '60s Merseybeat sound' runs through the Beady Eye record from the vibe of the songs right down to Liam's double tracked voice. Some of tracks have that early Beatles rock and roll pace and there are touches of the mid-era records Rubber Soul and Revolver. Wigwam has a solo era Lennon feel in the beginning; I get a Mind Games vibe. Sharrock channels those Ringo snare drum fills on songs like Millionaire and Wind Up Dream. Ringo's own son was even aping dad on Oasis tracks like Bag It Up. Four Letter Word has slight Live and Let Die/Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me stylings as others have mentioned.
It's hard to pin down but Beady Eye does feel more reminiscent of a particular style than Oasis ever did. Noel borrowed from the past but he dipped his toe in a few different eras. It's definitely more of an 'overall' feel than any direct pilfering like you get in Cigarettes and Alcohol, Waiting For The Rapture and High Horse Lady.
Three Ring Circus bears some similarities to You Am I's Wally Raffles with the nature of the strumming. Liam apparently loved this track.
People were screaming 'Instant Karma!' when The Roller came out. It's there but it's not overt IMO. You can hear All You Need is Love a little more but again, not a direct lift- some tosser on Australian TV compared the TR next to AYNIL the other day, side by side, and his argument didn't hold water- they didn't sound massively similar.
I would say yes, DGSS is derivative but derivative of an era rather than a collection of distinct, individual songs.

The Beat Goes on has some parts that really sound like Let's All Make Believe.

We all know that Man Of Misery sounds exactly like Pop Levi's Blue Honey
But I found the true origin of the riff (I hope it doesn't go even further back xD). I found a song by Booker T & the M G 's called Green Onions, which features the infamous riff, and there's a melody in there somewhere which is similar the melody of the vocals on MOM.

The solo in Man of Misery reminds me of something but I can't remember what.
