the stone roses are musically much more talented than oasis but they have some simliar songs i think

i would'nt say the smiths are much like them either - smiths are more like REM, imo

i'd go for- The beatles, Sex Pistols, Slade

;D slade look out of place but they do have a very similar sound to oasis and the lyrics are similar. You just have to look at Oasis cover versions to see their influences - Beatles, Rolling Stones, Slade, Neil Young, The Who, etc.
