NL4E, are you secretly sexist? Romney= anti Women How exactly is Romney anti-women? Exactly. I was going to post articles that showed the Obama administration is anti-women, but really don't care enough - the stats are there, but it's just propaganda to me..... --- For those who haven't paid attention in the last week, Romney is now officially the GOP nominee. I've supported the guy since 2007, so it's nice to see him in full contention. As we stand in June 2012, it's as competitive as it can possibly get, but 5 months is a long time in politics. Frankly, Obama is doing better than he should be considering the State of the Union, but, should he win later this year, it will be nowhere near his almost-landslide victory of 2008. As things stand today, I expect Mitt to eek out a victory, but a lot can change between now and then.

^When Obama wins women's vote because the Republicans and their supporters are blaming women for getting raped, come back and see me. It is never a woman's fault if she is.

Republican Scott Walker (Governor of WI) has won the recall election of WI and is keeping his job, and this could have implications for the 2012 general election and Obama. Could WI turn red in November for the first time in 1984? hmmm.....

Romney has never been anti-women. He is quite the opposite, he is however, pro-traditional family life. I suppose you could read into that and make him appear to hate women and their choices, but it simply isn't true. Out of curiosity, why does an Australian even care about American politics?

I get why you posted this video, but it really doesn't say anything. You could argue that all religious beliefs are "palpable nonsense", and thus, any candidate who has religious belief should therefore be avoided. Unfortunately, religion is one of the few things that people cling to for a moral center. Hence, all candidates have some form of religious belief because they believe that the world can infact be improved upon by man. I would argue that having a "faith" in something far out ways what that something is exactly. I'd rather a candidate be able to be active in their "faith" regardless of what it is, than to have one who claims a faith but could tell you a thing about it. The saddest part of it all is that Mormonism is one of the few religions in which the membership actually knows, and understands most of their doctrine. They know it so well infact that non-believers claim to know it as well which is the basis for videos like this one. Ultimately, the video says nothing that most people don't already think about Mormonism. The most startling part is that the two gentlemen seem to think that they have struck upon a new concept in making light of another belief system. Nothing new. Just the same old banter. It's no different than Jewish or Catholic jokes that go around.

Until 1978, the LDS church banned men of African descent from its priesthood, a position open to nearly all Mormon males and the gateway to sacramental and leadership roles. The church had also barred black men and women from temple ceremonies that promised access in the afterlife to the highest heaven.

Islamic fundamentalists killed 3,000 Americans on one day in late summer 2001. That doesn't make all Islamic people bad or have the same mentality, just as not all Mormons from the LDS church prior to the 70s are racist, as you so crudely tried to infer. Same analogies can be made to pretty much anything the world over. Every individual is different, and shouldn't be shamed due to what the majority or minority in his or her group have done. Can't believe I'm even responding to this utter pish How about you discuss why Obama listened to, respected, supported, and associated himself with people like Reverend Jeremiah Wright for over 20 years.....

I think you need to brush up on your history of presidents and religion. You'll find a lot of them that could be labeled as "racists", bigots, and hypocrites. That doesn't make them anymore or less worthy of the presidency. Religion really has nothing to do with it. Every individuals beliefs vary to some extent.

Presidential busts: The worst of all: Barack Obama (2009-?):www.utsandiego.com/news/2012/jul/22/presidential-busts/No matter what side of the aisle you sit on, I don't think anyone could honestly say Obama has been good. Frankly, I think it speaks wonders how Bush's approvals have raised so greatly since 2008 (although I always said they would). Romney compared to Kerry? Nonsense. Try Obama compare to Carter. Hope and change? We hope Obama doesn't get a second term so we can change presidents.....
