I knew I'd heard Cry before. Not much into country...but I do like in Western Canada where the biggest event every year in the city is a rodeo...

For the record the song "Cry" was written by him and released in 1999. Faith Hill asked him to record it in 2002 for her album and he obliged for a nice little finders fee.

Funny you should mention that album "For Stars And Moon", as now it is officially out of print. Yes that's right, one of the 10 best albums I've ever heard and it is no longer available for the general public to buy. What is this world coming to?

this is brilliant I was always taught to do all the positive things I could do for my fellow man. And as I sat here feeling quite relaxed, I realized that any man who can genuinely appreciate what Noel Gallagher can do with a stool and an acoustic guitar, well then my god how could they not appreciate this? I'm SO glad you enjoyed this. PM me if you would like me to send you more links. 'Hush' really is a great song, on it's way to become one of my favourites! And yes, I would like more links

Just found his CS cover... Funny you mention the CS cover as well, considering that a year or two ago I was laughed off of these very boards for posting it. You heard a live version or the studio?

Just a clip on amazon...following the people who bought this bought this stuff...a bit annoyed that For Stars and Moon has links only to Greenday and his album of covers. lol
Then I looked @ a youtube live performance. Don't know how I actually feel about it...bit of a shock.
I think the album version seemed more my style than the live preformance...but I can understand the Oasis fandom not being thrilled with the reimagining of it...

"The American" is also one of my 10 favorite albums ever listened to. The only knock on it for me would be it is slightly over produced, and it comes as no surprise since it is the only release of his career on a major record label. Hush is on that record along with the original version of Cry. There is a song on that album entitled "Free Man", which I firmly believe is one of the best songs ever written. To answer your question, yes definitely buy it. There are only 2 songs on it I'm not a fan of.
