Arcade Fire? That's the song, the band is called The Suburbs.
PS: I lept out of my seat when they won the Grammy. What a great victory for good music. Not to mention, they killed it right before that with Month of May. The Suburbs is the best album of 2010, at least to me.

There's loads of great bands "without name" in the world and finding them by an accident is one of the great things and that's one of the reasosn why I love music.

Grammys are a joke. they nominate SOO much crap, people confuse mainstream with quality. "How come a band I don't know beat Lady Gag, Katy Perry and Eminem?!!!!"  A talented unknown jazz musician is best new artist over a manufactured 16 year old disney kid? has the world gone insane?! sheesh I'd rather have my artists/bands being unrecognised and ignored in award shows, cos that means they'll keep putting good music, true to what they are. unless what they are is hungry for money and fame*, then they can fuck off. *except Oasis ;D |

such a victory to see them win album of the year. I hate the grammys but damn it this year they got it right. The Suburbs is on par with Funeral for me. They are easily one of the most exciting bands in the world and the fact they got a number one and won a grammy is great. its nice to see good music in these things even if at the end of the day they don't really matter

I had a good laugh watching the Grammys. It was great to see Arcade Fire play such a rocking tune to blow the shit away. Even Muse plodded along in comparison.

It was hilarious watching the twitter feed last night when Arcade Fire won 2 Brits. Every second comment was "Who the f*ck are they?" The same thing happened when Laura Marling beat Cheryl Cole to best female solo artist....everyone was like "WHAT?!?!" |
