DOYS is my favorite Oasis album. The first 9 songs minus GOYHHL are amazing! I never get tired of them. These songs have inspired me musically and got me thinking differently about writing music. Noel (obviously) is a songwriting genius.
I doubt anything Beady Eye does on this album will beat DOYS imo. I'll wait till I hear the album to make my final judgement though.

Noel did have a sense of making sure that an album consisted of the very best tracks he'd written in a period to a limit of 10-11 songs Really? I'd say that apart from the first 2 albums, every Oasis album has had at least 2 weak tracks on it and in most cases there has been much better b-sides from the same era. For me Beady Eye maybe doing the same or maybe they just didnt have enough songs to have the luxury of leaving the likes of SOTEOTN & WUD off. These songs may even be good songs, we haven't heard the album yet. Weak tracks on the first two albums? Imo their aren't any. Definitely Maybe is flawless and even though What's the Story isnt as consistent, I dont regard any of the tracks as weak. For instance I consider Hey Now! to be better than anything Beady Eye has written and better than most 2000s era Oasis singles (exceptions are TIOBI, SB, IOT, LTBL, SCYHO).

DM is flawless. It wouldn't be the same without Shakermaker and Digsy's Dinner.
Anyway, DGSS will be nowhere near as good as DOYS. Bag it Up, Falling Down, The Turning, Waiting for the Rapture. Haven't heard a tune from DGSS as good as any of them.
Unfortunately DGSS sounds weak at the moment. Rushed.
Hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not I don't care too much. Have high expectations from Noel's yet to be released solo efforts. Got plenty of other music to listen to until then.

For what i have heard so far, I don't think so.
DOYS has weaker songs (TNOR and AGN) but also has very strong songs (FD, IOT and TSOTL) and I doubt very much that DGSS strong songs will be better than these 3.
Til now IMO, DGSS seem like a buch of ok songs. That's it.

They seem to be on the same level. DOYS has the better singles (TSOTL, IOT, FD), but some really weak tracks. DGSS doesn't have any dissappointing songs so far.

I think it'll be more complete than DOYS but obviously I'll have to hear it in full first.

DOYS is underrated. The last three tracks try to kill it but the first eight are mega. Shame Record Machine and Come On, Its Alright couldn't have made it on at the end instead.
DGSS sounds very promising but I'll let you know after I actually hear the album how good it is.

A lot fo BDI kool-aid folwing right now.
If I have to choose, I'd say DOYS. DOYS is a truely great album. And for me, its only 3 songs that I dont like. Even HHL is good to me (probably because I listen to the unmixed version, which to me is amazing. That should have gone on the album).
BDI has released stuff that can be classified,(for me) between decent and good. Even in the previews, I keep hearing 3 or 4 really good songs, but 10-9 okay-decent songs, which doesnt make it better than DOYS (so far). But even if the previews take a large turn, I still dont think it will be better than DOYS.

DOYS was the last great album of a band... DGSS is the debut of a promise and i cant tell because even if they have in common 3 members they are(judging from the itunes france prewievs and FLW TR and BTL) very different wich i like
