A few people have been comparing the two tunes so thought it'd be good to start a thread! Both have that Jerry Lee Lewis piano through out the song, more dominant on Bring The Light of course but still.
At the moment I'm going for Beatles and Stones, probably as it's still very fresh, favourite bit of the song is Liam singing 'Well it beat's me mama, I just wanna rock n' roll' second time round with the drums and clapping over it, gets me going every time!
Don't get me wrong I really like Bring The Light but at the moment Beatles and Stones just edges it out. Both really fun rock n' roll tunes which should be fantastic live.
What's your favourite?

BAS 6/10 BTL 4/10 Both are mediocre tunes with good,energetic arrangements,which saves them from being disasters.
I wonder how marvellous oasis would have sounded at the hands of lillywhite and with that energetic attitude to their studio recordings.

The endless come on's on BTL brings the song down. So BaS for me

Both are good. But as I've been listening to BTL since November and haven't grown bored of it yet, I guess I like it better (to early to tell for sure though).

Bring the Light! Beatles and Stones is also fun and nice to listen to, but I think I prefer my baby come ons.

I thought BTL was shit on the first litsen, but have grown to like it. I really really liked B&S the first time I heard it so maybe I'll think that one is shit two months from now...
But right now, B&S. The drums really throws it all to another level for me. Lovet it!

I vote BTL for the ambition of it. The novelty of the driving piano. The female backing voices. It's got stuff to recommend it. It still isn't a very strong song but it tries.
Conversely BaS is just a bit of a void for me. There isn't anything that I really like about it. I don't think it's unlistenable...but I just don't hear anything that grabs be even for a second.
Bit like picking the tallest of the dwarfs though...

It's close, they've both got similar characteristics. I like both but BTL is dragged down quite a bit by the repetitive and somewhat annoying "Baby Come On's" and its length, whereas B&S is more or less the same 30 sec clip with an interesting middle bit and tinkly piano.
But I chose B&S.

weird thing is i dont like the last minute of BTL, drags on for me, however i dont like the first minute of B&S as its the same lines repeated.
