Now that the DGSS leak is around the corner and Proboards is monitoring our every move I would like to have a few things clear. If I am correct: No image/link/suggestions or google search tips are allowed which could eventually get you to copyright material.
No private messages which contain the above stated.
What I was wondering is are embedded youtube alright? I don't want to get L4E in trouble so I thought this would be helpfull for others. I read the TOS www.proboards.com/tos but not every detail was clear to me. |

I think it's direct links - but then it's only 3-4 weeks until we hear it for legit, given that the Japan release is a week earlier.

I posted an image of a blog which linked to the download (can you follow?  ) and that was enough to get a warning from proboard.. |

hey man i know you put up some link to high quality audio of FLW and WOMR, but it was removed.
My question is, how do i get it? And when DGSS leaks...where will we be able to download it from if people here are being restricted...?
Just imagine knowing its leaked but the mods had removed the link lol, id be going nuts! haha

Everybody on here is gonna go nuts once the record leaks. And prob. a few .0 percent of the rest of the online world... It's crazy easy to find stuff on the net, why should we risk shutting this board down just coz some people don't wanna pay for something. Or even if you just want an mp3 copy of something you bought, it's way easy to find it elsewhere. Seriously, just think of the name of a song, and 99% of the time, you will be able to find it on google and youtube. We shouldn't have to worry about L4E getting shut down cos some people are to lazy to type some stuff in a search engine. I'm not critizising those who doesn't buy music, but have some sense. If you won't order stuff and pay the money, or drag yourself to a record shop, the least you can do is finding the stuff online for yourself. And if you don't know how to find digital music on the web, you should prob. be sticking to a physical CD or Vinyl format anyway... And when the leak comes, cos it will... I'm going to download it, in the wait for the real thing... But please don't flood this board with questions on where to find it, or link requests... Just start learning the secrets of google now, it's gonna save you and the rest of us a lot of trouble in the future... Oh, and BTW... Can someone PM me a link once the leak finds its way online. ?  |

We're not allowed to post any copyright material and sharing any copyright material via pm on this forum. Any link to the copyright material will be deleted by webby or mods.
So don't post any link to leaked material and please don't ask for a pm.
and I won't download leak.

if it leaked something like a month before the release date, then I could understand why people would want to download it. But we'll get the album in 4 weeks - so I'm prepared to wait.

Eerm... 4 weeks = one month, don't see your point here.... Anyway, is it allowed to post clues to copyright material? Let's say that the album leaked, could I say "Just google "Different Gear Still Speeding album leak" and click on the 8th link or something? Sometimes I don't get why people would put this forum at risk by asking download links on forums. If you want a song, just youtube it, and use on of the 100 online "youtube to mp3 converters"... Problem solved.. |

I think a big part of the reason people (myself included) will download the leak is to be able to take part in the discussion that will surely follow. And not join the band three weeks later so to speak. And when your'e really looking to something it's hard to not listen to a leak. Hell, I'm prob. searching google and dropping by this forum about 30-40 times each day hoping to see a topic titled "DGSS Has Leaked!"... And what do I get!? A fuckin' discussion whether Noel cried during the Melt gig or not! Anyway, is it allowed to post clues to copyright material? Let's say that the album leaked, could I say "Just google "Different Gear Still Speeding album leak" and click on the 8th link or something?

Take a hint people. Do we really need this site closed down? This is my first port of call regarding anything Oasis/Beady eye related. It would be a real shame to see it closed down. Even when we are inbetween albums this site is one of few that is still worth visiting.
I have orderd the deluxe copy & I am chomping at the bit to hear it & cannot rule out getting hold of it earlier if I can but as someone else said it should be easy to find elsewhere so why risk this site.
Listen to what the Mods are saying and stop asking what if & but questions (thats not arse/ass questions by the way)

In my view i'm a bit spoilt ! I dont like waiting, i've ordered the album and i'll be getting it whatever (even if someone i hate it) and i'm like a kid at Xmas. I cant wait to hear it. I dont feel guilty, as i say i'm buying it whatever. I think its bad when people get a 'freebie' (Such as the discussion about The Roller) and dont buy the single version. I think its obvious not to post links here or even ask about it. I mean jesus cant people use Google ? There'll be newbies arriving asking where to get it from though the second it does leak. I just hope everyone buys the album even if they get a leaked version a few weeks before hand. |

like we mentioned many times before, we're not trying to stop piracy. that's impossible. we're just trying to avoid download links in the forum.
and as others said, let's get real. if an album leaks, it's not that hard to find. there's nothing we can do about that.
we appreciate the collaboration and support of the members. cheers

i don't think a leak is as close as everyone says, CDs usually leak 1-2 weeks before the CD is released, there is still 28 days until it is even released in Japan. That means we are still at least 2 weeks, possibly more until a possible leak.

Thanks for actually bringing this topic up before we get in any trouble.
Google obviously does include our forum's threads in their search results and blog alerts so if a link goes up on our site it will attract immediate attention.
If you absolutely have to tell your aunt and uncles where to get a leak please use your personal email accounts....cheers

I'd say a leak is around a week away.
I'd love it not to leak as it's been ages since I looked forward to an album release date as being the first time I'd heard the material. Always hearing them on YouTube or someone talking about it.
