Isnt it technically imposibble for an album in this day and age to not have leaked a month out?
I cant recall when DOYS leaked but it was at least mid sep 2008. with the release being early oct. Hethean chemistry was a good 5 months! ..i just find it hard to believe that it hasnt leaked. anyone think itll be any day now?

Best thing is the reviews start coming in the next couple of weeks. All the mags, papers etc. Let's hope they're positive! =P

wonder how succesful they will be.. i know they have a locked in audience from oasis. so the tours will sell. but i wonder if they can grow bigger than expected. it be crazy if they flopped! but that is doubtful

DOYS leaked 13 days (iirc) before release. A month before release is till very early for a leak. I personally hope it doesnt leak until the last week.

I think that even if it leaks I will wait to listen to the whole album until I've got it in my hands. I like the excitement of going to the recordstore and playing an album for the very first time!

And the only reason it leaked was because a fan had got hold of an expensive promo CD. These things are very heavily protected now. Instead of journalists getting their own individual copy for listening 3 months before release to make the deadlines for the monthly magazines, they are invited to listening events at record company offices. Plus you've got the fact that this LP is not an Oasis LP. American releases haven't even been confirmed yet. There's less demand, therefore less chance of a rogue music employee somewhere leaking it. |

It is kind of stupid to hope for an early leak.It's not a band that you don't care about,so wait and go buy it when it comes out....observe the booklet and all the traditional stuff which make the wait worthwhile...

Of course it's much more fun to hear it from the cd with the album sleeve, but I guess I don't have what it takes to Wait another month -or so- if it leaks.. I always buy the record, I pre-ordered DGSS in December I think and so I'm sure I'm entitled to listen to a leak, I have a problem with those who don't buy and just download illegally.
The only issues I have are sound quality on a leak, if a leak does surface in the next 2 or 3 weeks and its a high quality one then I'll have no problems downloading it, if the sound isnt too good then I'll wait to appreciate the music properly on 28th Feb.

So fucking nice to listen to it without everyone else's opinions. Which is somewhat hypocritical since I love reading reviews. |
