Translation by gdforever is very good! It can be read as well as Japanese. Sweet. Thanks. I couldn't get the bit in Beatles and Stones. Any chance you could translate that for us? And the first bit of Three Ring Circus

I'm shocked that Liam didn't write Four Letter Word. Where does it say that it isn't?

Where does it say that it isn't? first post of the thread Andy wrote it Oh, fair play. I was expecting it to be detailed in the review, too. Yeah, I agree with Rita then.

To be fair, that also says Liam wrote The Roller, and doesnt mention Liam writing For Anyone which I'm sure an article said he did.
I'd take it with a pinch of salt until we hear it from another source.

10. Wigwam I has strings. It sounds groovey like a combinaton psychedelic and modern rock. The "Sha La La" chorus makes "All Around the World" sound like a pipe dream. It feels like the climax/finale of the album. Liam sings in falsetto, Liam sounds like he did when he was young. Ok, should I interpret this that Wigwam will be somewhat close to All Around The World? In that case: OH MY FUCKING GOD!! All Around The World is one of my fave Oasis songs, and I really wanted to hear that version Oasis planned doing with Record Machine. Hopefully, this'll do quite nicely, untill Noel sorts Record Machine out for his solo album. And very glad to hear the Whatever resemblance to The Morning Sun. Also one of my favorite Oasis tunes. Let's just say both Wigwam and The Morning Sun went high up as the songs I most wanna hear on Different Gear, Still Speeding Thanks for the translation of the translation by the way

Translation by gdforever is very good! It can be read as well as Japanese. Sweet. Thanks. I couldn't get the bit in Beatles and Stones. Any chance you could translate that for us? And the first bit of Three Ring Circus 4. Beatles and Stones It differs from the title. Rhythm and guitar sound are very "The Who". Tune that depicted yearning to rock'n'roll in a few cliches. and simple rock'n roll chord as well as "Bring the Light" Liam want to do seriously rock'n roll. Liam and the boys are searching for the answer of "what is rock'n roll?" and are well on the road 11. The Ring Circus This title meaning is "revelry" Sounds like John Lennon rock 'n roll with some heavy blues-rock atmosphere. Trolling by lead vocal and backing vocal reminds of oasis, somehow. It is an extension of late oasis. and it might be since the Oasis age.

Good to hear another positive review. Dont know how much we can read into this since kill for a dream is compared to champagne supernova, and from the preview clips I can't see it being anywhere near whatsoever.
Still, weve had some good tunes already and sounds by all accounts as if wigwam, the beat goes on and the morning son should be top tracks.
Roll on feb 28th

can you scan said article onto a computer device for our beady eyes with a translation hopefully!! Sorry to disappoint you but I don't have a scanner. And every BDI interview in Japanese mags so far is a bit long, and it's hard for me to translate them all. I'm going to try to translate some information, but also hoping someone will do it properly and quickly...

We were sure that The Roller is Gem's It's entirely possible something has been lost in translation. I'll wait until some English-speaking interviews before I accept it. I think it's strange too, but an interviewer asked Liam, "I guess listening to the album, 5 songs you wrote are Millionaire, TR, B&S, Wigwam, and The Beat Goes On?" and he answered, "Certainly, TR , B&S, Wigwam are mine. the others are..." On the other hand, another magazine has an interview with Gem. and when asked which songs did you write, as people on this thread say, he said that it's difficult to say "it's my song" cos all their stuff was made by collaborative work.

So far Wigwam has been compared to All Around The World and A Day In The Life...must be a massive tune.

tbh I take a positive review from the Rockin'on with a grain of salt. Basically they don't have a criticism, especially for big names like Oasis/BDI, but just tend to hype. It's the biggest-selling 'western music' magazine in Japan, but is treated with contempt by deep music fans... Anyway, thanks for the great translations! I can't do well like this.

The Roller being Liams song? Nah, I don't buy it. Certainly it must be Gems. Noel went on for years about The Roller being Gems song. But did both Liam and Andy maybe give it some input, yes, that's more plauisble.

I suppose it's possible Liam wrote the bulk of the lyrics, whilst keeping Gem's general Instant Karma feel Noel was talking about all those years ago. Hopefully some good, in depth interviews will come.

Yeah this review is overwhelmingly positive. If I knew they were being objective that would be great, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high over this. Still looks like we're in for a great album.

I usually don't use reviews to focus on whether they think the music's bad or good, that's for me to decide when I listen to it.
What I like and find interesting about reviews are the songs' descriptions, so I can start to have an idea of what to expect, and I am excited to see that the general description of the album's sound is what I like: a nice mixture of rockers, ballads and hints of psychedelia.
