THE HAMILTON SPECTATOR Canada November 24th, 2002 Hot on the heels of their July 2002 release, 'Heathen Chemistry', British rockers Oasis plan to start recording their sixth studio album sometime after the Christmas holidays. "It's been a hectic twelve months," pointed out guitarist Noel Gallagher. Back in October 2001, the band played six "low key" gigs in the UK, and since then have been touring extensively around the world, which included two Canadian stops in Montreal and Toronto during their North American trip. Gallagher, along with bassist Andy Bell, and keyboard player Jay Darlington were also involved in a car collision while riding in an Indianapolis taxi cab. The crash forced the cancellation of two gigs on their tour, and put further strain on an already stressful, year-round trip across the globe. As for the new album, several demos have already been recorded Gallagher says. "The rest of the lads went into the studio recently in Australia to do some new b-sides, and they also recorded about five or six demos while they were at it," Gallagher explained. Along with the new material from the Australian sessions, Gallagher also has some classic Oasis tunes he's been working on himself. "I have a few really good songs that I wrote shortly after we finished recording the last album." "After we put our next single out ('Songbird', which is written by Liam Gallagher and due out in January) we will definitely take a month or two off before heading back to the studio." As for Gallagher's plans during his time off, "getting as far away as humanly possible from Liam, and putting in a swimming pool."

Cool, I cant wait for a new album. The band seems really tight, if HC is this bands Definitely Maybe, then we are in for a treat with this album.

I hope Noel uses It's A Crime for the next album, would be a nice album closer. Both brothers singing it, like Acquiesce, would be reallly nice.

Friend told me that Johnny fucking Marr is playing guitar on one of the tracks. Can't wait, Marr and Noel together, no way that they can write bad song. It will be biblical!
