They might assess how the album sells in certain regions and then decide exactly where the most practical places to play live shows are, i.e. book shows at venues in the top 5-10 areas where their album sells the best.

No. Not this first visit. Guaranteed: If they're coming in June, they know exactly when and exactly where already. Venues in major cities are busy all year and are already beginning to announce gigs into June. The only thing we're waiting for is the promoter to announce. The delay in respect to that is likely ticketing and a lot of venues don't like to announce too early. They also may want to wait to get their visas in order. Your hypothesis is true for subsequent visits, but even there, album sales are hardly a barometer anymore of potential success because they're so low across the board. Radio plays are much more indicative now, as well as things like Youtube views which can be statistically broken down to regions. Thats only in respect to smaller places, as the New Yorks and LA's are guarantees. Once there's an announcement, expect tickets onsale within days of the announcement. Same week in all likelihood.

I think many of the fans going to these BE gigs will be Oasis fans, and since they are playing small venues, Im worried about these fuckin presales/record comp schmoes hogging most of the good tix. I think most of the US gigs will be sold out.

yeah saw that too(about the facebook comment), it's almost a certainty that they wont come anywhere near Dallas but whatever.. at least we'll know for sure where they're playing this june. im thinking it'll be an all east coast mini tour, maybe L.A. and Seattle(?).

They definitely need to make an appearance on some Late Night Show. Best promo you can get. Wasn't Liam listed for some show when he was in NYC last year for some Pretty Green stuff?

I was at a radio station today and it had a copy of HITS magazine, sort of an in-the-biz mag. Anyway, they had a number of mentions of Beady Eye in there and which stations are playing the band, etc.
In two separate articles, it said the band will do an east coast tour in June and a west coast tour in August.
Now at least we can start preparing ourselves for the right months!

My thoughts exactly! I can't imagine why they'd want to space it out. What could they be doing from June to August?
