The depressing thing about Brother is that they seem genuinely to believe that it's still 1996In the summer of 2009, a T4 interview with Raygun did the rounds of the Twittersphere. It seemed to present a real-life Spinal Tap with a fondness for "drinking Mojitos at 11am – what the hell, man!" that displayed a mesmerising lack of self-awareness. Last year produced nothing quite so cringeworthy, though a promo film of the hotly tipped Brother came close. full article: bit.ly/gtEWXI

'raygun' the magazine? and there's nothing wrong with drinking at 11 a.m.

Is this Brother?? You gotta be kidding me even if you play Celtic music it doesn't mean you can dress up like a woman... It's not them, is it???

^ No, it's not them. They're a really bad band who think they're really good. Horrible combination.

I'll give them a listen. As one of these boys said he's a big fan of The Smiths and Moz, I just can't ignore them, can I?

"Your birthday's in May. It is what it is" Some profound lyrics there. I'd rather listen to Little James.

I gave them a listen and who are they trying to kid? To me, they are just another in a long list of uninspired indie kids.
Now there are loads of brilliant indie/alternative rock bands out there - it's just a case of finding them. I don't know why the music journals give attention to this as there are so much better bands around who don't get nearly enough attention.
Difference between this and Oasis is that Oasis talked the talk and walked the walk. Brother seem a bit contrived and they have forgotton the most vital of ingredients to success - good music.

Agreed, but it is quite funny/amusing that they exist.
