I dont think radio 1 will playlist it ashleigh, cos the bosses are a bunch of dubstep loving "down with the kids" tossers, i would love them to, but the tripe that they churn out at a disturbingly alarming rate doesnt bode well for anything beady eye can offer, sad times really for such a chart influencing machine radio 1 is.
Again of course i could and hope i am wrong and look like an idiot

I must highlight the importance of targeting this guy, he is pretty easily persuaded. If a few of us tweet @ him while he is on air, and flood his facebook will Beady Eye requests he will play them. He is on air Monday to Friday 7pm - 10pm (GMT)

What's his twitter account www.twitter.com/RomeoInDemandWe should all flood his Twitter feed and Facebook page when he's on tomorrow night. Good thing about targeting that show is that it goes out over every major radio station in Scotland, not just one station. Kill a few birds with one stone.

you guys need to adapt radio is dead. you want to make an impact you get the video of the roller to do well on youtube. either discuss it or keep watching it over and over again. also, last fm plays are a big deal.

^^I would agree with that too. When a video gets wtached a lot on Youtube and mean a lot, it gets a ton of pub.

^^I would agree with that too. When a video gets wtached a lot on Youtube and mean a lot, it gets a ton of pub. that's assuming most of those views aren't repeat views from l4e. The point would be for l4e to do repeated views, so that the video would show say as a "spotlight video" or a "trending" video. That way causual fans would click say a trending lnk or a spotlight video link. Just an alternative view. I dont think requesting songs really helps in this day and age. I can only speak for America, which is a bad place to speak for, but in Chicago I cant remember the last time that there was a ground swell made by radio request. I just cant. Hasnt happened in a long time. The last time was TSOTL, but I'm convinced that the reason that happened was because it was the name of "Oasis" that they were playing and the fact that it was their first single. It really wasnt the fact that it was a good song. The main reason I think this is because later when IOT came out and people tried the same thing, it hit a road block because the hype for an Oasis first single was gone and the name didnt mean as much the second time around. It prob works in other parts of the world, but not too much in America. In America you can only really hope that there's a major DJ in each major city and that are willing to play you because they like your music and also that they like you personally. Requests have very little to do with it in America. Its mostly the name that matters here, unfortunately. Though I can see it working in other places, I dont see it working here because BDI isnt a name that can be sold yet. And thats really all that matters here. The only thing I can say is thank god, the rest of the world isnt America. lol

spaneli is right for the most part. i mean, it doesn't hurt to request the song but if you guys really wanna make some, any type of noise... you should be thinking YOUTUBE

i already sent an email to a radio station here in greece. The thing that impresses me is that "Bring the Light" is at the top 5 of most favourite songs of the station.I guess there are many chances for the Roller to get airplay. That's the chart of the most favourite songs www.hijack.gr/EL/Charts.aspx?ID=5

It never does. Just made the point that in America it just doesnt work as effectively as in other places in the world. Thats all.

I live in Tampa, FL & the ONLY Oasis tune they play is Wonderwall on this shitty 90's statsion. I havent heard Oasis on a Rock station in the States in a good 6yrs... Its fucking sad

^^Yeah it is sad. Chicago is acutally pretty good with Oasis. Q101, the biggest Alternative station plays at least 1 Oasis track a week, which is a pretty good clip in America. Its also a pretty good array of songs. They play a ton of WTSMG stuff, some DM tracks, and some BHN tracks, and Songbird and SCYHO, once in a while.
They actually like them a lot. There are a couple of DJ's who have said that they're massive Oasis fans, but like I said they only got a ton of radio play with TSOTL when it came out. When IOT came out, they didnt play it.

I just noticed that on 102.1 in Toronto, Beady Eye - The Roller will be played on "Fearless Fred's 5 @ 5" which I believe are songs voted on by listeners.
Will make sure to tune in.

the thing with radio in america is that clear channel owns nearly every radio station in the country. what they want you to hear, you'll hear.
every clear channel station i've heard plays rotation and doesn't stray from it except at late night, during a specialty show, or when someone dies. i can't stand listening to the same songs, over and over and over, every single fucking day. requests don't mean shit to american radio, as well.
and that's why when i'm in the car, i listen to cd's.

Vote Bring The Light in 'De Afrekening' on Studio Brussel (Belgian Radiostation'. The higher it gets, the more they will play it obiously. Currently at position 29. 1. Beady Eye - Bring The Light 2. Beady Eye - The Roller 3. that's up to you www.stubru.be/programmas/deafrekening/jouwtopdrie(you have to log in first, but it's worth it ;p) Haha nice one! Bring The Light is already in its 5th week in the charts. Hoping it can remain there for at least one more week... And I think it's strange we haven't heard "The roller" yet on Belgian radio. They played BTL a few minutes after it was released... Already tried to contect StudioBrussel, and ask them to play "The Roller", but I can't send them a message for some reason... I asked Sam yesterday and they played it today!

I doubt the roller will get much airtime.
In LA, the only real station that plays oasis is Star fm 98.7. Wonderwall and champagne supernova do get played allot. But nothing else by Oasis. At times you will get the odd Live forever or DLBIA.
