You see in the photo in the Rak video and the photo in Uncut where Liam is SAT DOWN whilst recording vocals.
I think this helps him sing softer. You can hear this softer voice on The Roller - and agree I think he's singing the best he has for a few years

I like his voice, however what attracts me more is his singing style. Voice changes, we cannot expect him to sound like 20 ys ago, so why don't we just embrace it?

A lot of it has to do with production style and mixing. His voice tends to sound much better with backing vocals on it (whether from Gem or Noel). If you were to listen to the songs Stand By Me, Stay Young and Underneath The Sky arranged, recorded and mixed as they are working now, Liam's original vocals would sound very different and would probably get very different feedback.
Listen to the vocals on Fade In/Out. They aren't that much different than how Liam sounds nowadays. Noel claimed that Liam lost his voice for a week after recording those vocals. They probably encouraged that style of singing when everyone said, "Holy hell, those are the best vocals Liam's ever done...".
I mean, come on, he's hardly Elton John! Talk about a vocal transformation...Jeeez.
