TSOTL over The Roller. TSOTL is brilliant. The Roller however is very good and is as good or better than Lyla/The Hindu Times. I just love TSOTL it might be my third favorite lead off single after SMS and SS. Hits you with that wall of sound. Its not just an Oasis by numbers rocker its one of their best rockers period.

Well it's good to see somebody who is thinking clearly. TSOTL is in the tier of heaviest Oasis songs! Amazing production with nonsensical lyrics, the Supersonic of Dig Out Your Soul. Definitely not Oasis by the numbers. As far as lead singles go, The Roller is by far the worst. That is if you compare them to Oasis. For it being Beady Eye's first single it's even more pathetic. Nothing mindblowing about it.... Talk about Oasis by the numbers....

BDI shoulda actually taken the time to try to write really, really good songs instead of rushing to make an album to prove they can do it without Noel. also, keep in mind, people aren't allowed to voice negativity towards BDI, or Oasis for that matter, here. it's suppose to be ALL positive. laced with kool-aid influenced comments.

Yeah The Roller was really rushed. A lot of the songs have most likely been written for some time. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they haven't done there best.

Just can't work out why you think they are rushed? I'm not a big fan of the Roller. But it still sounds well done and well produced. Just becuase they finished the album reasonably quickly doesn't mean it was rushed. The songs were mostly there a lot had probably been demoed before.

Pretty sure I said that from the begining. That there was a good chance that BDI could rush stuff too quickly, and the music could suffer. Got blasted for that one earlier. I do wish they had taken maybe a few extra months just to see if they could improve or just to see if they could write anything better than what they had already. It takes a long time to crarft a really good album (3 years though, is way too long). An album cant be rushed. It takes time. I really wish that they had taken a bit more time because so far I think its hurt them on about 2, maybe 3 songs. Hopefully there rest of the album is better, but I'm starting to get to the doubt it point. They have released 3 tracks already, and the chances of every single song thats left on that album being great is pretty small. Thats not to say that the majority will be bad or anything, just that there's almost no chance that the remaining...what 10 songs are all gonna be"mega". Still I still have my hope for a good, B level album which I think we'll get. So I will happy for that. Oh, I voted for TSOTL. Much better song that The Roller.

I think rushed in terms of maybe not waiting to see if they as a bunch could write better songs than what they already had. Rushed in terms of just taking some left over songs, instead of writing more. The Roller wasnt a rushed track, but I think BTL was def. a rushed track. Wish they had taken a bit more time with that. I'm saying though, that they didnt put effort into or didnt work their hardest, I just wish they put more time into some of the tracks.

gdforever, why is there a fight going on pretty much everywhere you post? Oh, come on. Correcting a word was hardly provocation for swearing and frankly a disturbing level of sexism. I've never picked on his opinion...I only post the one correction tongue in cheek. Nice, Rita. Where are you when I post an opinion and he calls me names because I have "put too much thought into my opinion"? A real saviour of the weak you are.
