Beady Eye's official debut single The Roller will be played for the first time on Zane Lowe's Breakfast Show on BBC Radio One this Friday morning (January 7), with Liam and Gem guesting on the show.
Thank me later.

Nice! Source? Anyway I'm really excited. I must say, from the preview, it doesn't really seem much better as FLW. I believe that what we hear in the preview is the chorus. It's okay, but not fantastic... So my expectations aren't really that high. On the other hand, it should be better than FLW (which I really really liked), why else would they release this song as their first official single? Mixed feelings here, but nonetheless really excited!

Hope it's true. The Roller preview got me really excited! I think it could be a classic.

what a change of pace, to actually get to hear a good chunk of the album (and new b-sides!! )before it even comes out!

Can't find any mention of the single being played, but Liam and Gem are on the show on Friday - Zane mentioned it on air this morning. Seems too much of a coincidence for them not to play the single before the video debut on Monday.

According to Zane: What we can expect from the forthcoming debut album? Gem said: "It's heavy. It's full of riffs. There's no holding back".
Seems like Liam and Gem are choosing they favourite records, Zane versus Liam/Gem or something like that.

Casts an even bigger question mark over the clips, being as i didn't hear to many riffs on there. What songs have been confirmed on the album by other sources? NME confirmed a few didn't they?

I think The Roller sounds extremely promising and if it's as good as the preview and sits well alongside FLW and BTL (which has grown considerably on me) I think we'll all be very pleased with this record. I cannot wait for this album to come out. I love the marketing technique that BDI have adopted to get these tunes out there with plenty of time before the shows to get people excited and to learn the lyrics. Friday cannot come soon enough.

Not heavy, and not full of riffs. Zane comments here: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006wkth/episodes/20113 january broadcast, 1h26min in (for those interested).

Believe it or not I met gem prior to doys being released and he said the same thing about that album, and I don't think the album had so much as a solo on there!

DOYS is pretty heavy, with Bag It Up, TSOTL, TBWTL etc or at least sounds miles heavier than what Morning Son, The Roller or For Anyone sounds like. DGSS really is baffling me at the minute.

If there are complications on the radio, he won't make it time for Glasgow.

If that's true, it's amazing. The Roller sounds very promising so far.
