Probably a bit heavier than some on here like, but awesome. They won 94.5FM Texas Buzz Music Awards Best Rock Band 2009 and just this past weekend won the top honor at this years' Texas Buzz Awards, Band of the Year. They have an EP on iTunes USA and UK and have a debut album coming out in mid-2011

Yikes. They're not even very good for the style they play, which isn't a very good style.
So...not very good. I'm being gentle in case you're in the band/know the band/etc.

ya I kinda figured they'd be too heavy for most people on this forum too heavy? hair metal ain't heavy, man. your passive aggressive (and overly defensive) responses make me think one of two things: you're either in the band or closely associated with them.

You're proving his point over and over again, man. Every time someone responds honestly you fire back in a personal manner, which is really uncalled for and kind of telling. No one's saying they're bad people and yet you respond each time with a personal dig.

lol ya I know them, but I gotta say you lost all music critique cred when you explained how brilliant this crap is i've said this about oasis and any other band on this forum more times than i really should... it doesn't matter what other people think about a certain group. it's about how you feel. if they like it, that's good. if they don't, that's okay, too. and guess what? that's the great thing about music. one person can love a song, band or genre that another absolutely hates. you asked for my opinion, i gave it to you in a nice enough manner and you responded with some passive aggressive bullshit about how i can't take how heavy it is. fuck that. as for john cage, i feel you may not have understood my reasons for championing it. it's your prerogative that you don't like 4'33"-- a lot of people would agree with you on that. it's one of the most controversial pieces of the 20th century. i don't think it's supposed to be something you can listen to on cd or the radio. it's supposed to be more than that. 4'33" poses a philosophical question on what music can or cannot be. this leads to an even larger question on what art is and what can even be considered art. think about it for a second--it's rare to have a piece that changes each time it's played. one person coughs here, another person sneezes. a few murmurs among the audience in the back, sometimes in the front. maybe someone's got the hiccups, or a cell phone accidentally rings. those are all part of the performance. each member of the entire audience (and crew, i guess as well) is an active participant of this piece. now, that may mean absolutely fuck all to you, but to me, that's brilliant. i think it's one of the more extraordinary pieces of experimental music.

All part of the performance? Is it just as brilliant when shit like that happens in the movie theater? Or does it take a room full of stuffy artsy types to make a fart suddenly a brilliant part of the performance? edit - LOL BTW I'm not just being a dickhead, I get what you are saying man. But I'd argue that for the vast majority of people at a concert the parts when the band isn't playing there usually isn't anything that interesting happening. Telling everyone to be quiet so we can hear the little old lady in the third row wheezing or some jackass in the back who forgot to turn off his cell phone and trying to call it music is beyond pretentious!
