I really can't imagine Liam coming up with these lyrics. They're too complicated and too clever ("50 amp fuse/(...)more you can lose" - compare that to "I'm coming in, you're coming out"). The song itself isn't as simplistic as most Liams songs so far either. I say it's Andy's. Fits his musical style best (from what I know, I'm not into Andy's and Gem's bands too much). Probably they'll just make all songs collaborations officially though, even if they were written by a single person. Just because that's what the Beatles did.

My opinion: okay I think the first four lines were written by Noel, everything else including the chorus was probably collaborated on by everyone in Beady Eye.

Andy is the biggest Rolling Stones fan of the group. Reasons to believe it's Andy 1. Rolling stones fan (50-amp fuse blowing) 2. Could be about his wife being divorced, just because that the divorce happened two years ago it doesn't mean the song isn't two years old. It could have been a song before the divorce and one of the four songs Andy had for DOYS that Noel didn't want and chose The Nature of Reality instead. 3. Others have said it sounds like a Hurricane #1 track 4. BTL was Liam, Roller is Gem, they are trying to be democractic, probably FLW is Andy. If it is Andy, give him credit for restoring faith in many fans who did not like BTL and getting people excited about the album again. (I liked BTL BTW). This. The lyrics are too detailed for Liam. Four letter word = love, hate, Idha? Noel as well is just (a very good) coincidence?

The song itself isn't as simplistic as most Liams songs so far either. Born On A Different Cloud, thats pretty deep and clever. Parts on Soldier On, IOT & GGTIA arent too shabby either. Liam is definitely in the running for songwriter of this, especially as it seems he will have had help from Gem & Andy if he was the writer.

I know Gem wrote Four Letter Word, Roller and Edge Of Noise... not sure what else. Liam wrote Bring The Light, Beatles and Stones, Wigwam etc... Safe to say Andy wrote any song with "Dream" in the title.

I'd bet good money that it's basically a Liam song. The credits will probably be all 3 and I'm sure they all had a lot of input musically but it sounds essentially Liamesque to me.
It's a great straight ahead rocker and you can imagine Liam battering out the chords on an acoustic guitar in the same way he might have done with The Meaning of Soul or Better Man.
The Lyrics are alright and with Born on a Different Cloud and I'm Outta Time we know Liam's capable of decent lyrics. Gem's are so distinctly Gem's Lyrics - very quirky and playful and although Andy could have written these they just don't sound like they came from the same guy that wrote The Nature of Reality (or any Ride/Hurricane #1 stuff).
