TSOTL it hits you and FLW has that feeling too but that forevah dosnt helps to the song feeling

I'm extremely surprised at the voting. TSOTL is a much better song. Still cant believe someone said FLW is better than Lyla. FLW is a slighlty above average song. Lyla and TSOTL are slightly below really great songs.

I doubt this is the same result as there will be in 2 years. I think the euphoria of the release is skewing the vote personally. We already had the riff, the first verse of the song as well as the chorus (except the last line) a long time before we had the whole song. There were no real surprises except the solo imao. FLW for me. It's a very strong song with good lyrics and structure. Sounds fresh yet natural, with class. If all the album tracks are of this quality, I think Liam might be true to some point about it being comparable to DM. I usually loved TSOTL but the feeling died away after listening to this song. Exciting but bland, the melody sounds a bit familiar and it would have been nothing without the drum solo. Are you actually arguing that FLW isn't still a new song? |

"Ain't Got Nothing" for the poor lyrical content? well "love is a time maching, up on a silver screen" isn't exactly poetry. TSOTL and 4LW are both pretty good rockers imo but one is definitely better than the other in terms of lyrics. TSOTL obviously has a better outro tho... |

TSOTL, i love FLW but TSOTL is probably my favourite post morning glory oasis song but theres not a massive difference though

FLW wasn't released like BTL. We already had the first part of the song. Yeah you are right about the craze, of course because this is a new song. But it wasn't such a big surprise, the fans had time to see and properly judge the song. A lot of people prefering FLW over TSOTL will still be the same 2 years later I think. |

Although I do like Four Letter Word, you guys can't be serious when saying it is better than TSOTL which is a BLAST of a track.
Four Letter Word is good, but nothing special. Shock of the lightning though, is fucking immense and one of the best latter days Oasis tracks!

TSOTL is more of an anthem. I disagree that has a weak chorus. I mean, it's great to sing along to "It's all in good tiiiiime!"

After many listens it seems like the two songs have a totally different feeling. TSOTL is generally a bright song while FLW is more of an angry song with Liam screaming "nothing ever lasts forever"
A comparison with Bring It on Down will be fairer imo.

I like both songs, not masterpieces in my opinion, maybe the hype of a new song is helping my decision but ill go with FLW because of the challenging lyrics... I think it has very good lyrics... melodicly I guess they are matched..

The new one just has a bit more melody....the old one doesn't even have a chorus......

I'm gonna go with SOTL although I'm loving FLW. As a drummer I definitely like the drum breakdown on SOTL and that is what tipped it. Now, after I listen to FLW a few more times and certainly after I see it live my decision may (and most likely will) change.
