Up until the iTunes 30 second clips they'd done very well in keeping a very tight grasp around everything Beady Eye so do you think it will leak, the thing is once the album goes into mass production that's when it leaks, due to people slipping out a copy, I've listened to the clips but I'm gonna hang on to the official release now & listen from start to finish very loud

Well it'll definitely get online before the UK release date, not least because Japan get it almost a week early. But I wouldn't expect it much sooner than that, maybe a week or so.

according to this Argentine newspaper : www.eldia.com.ar/edis/20101224/joven9.htmthe album will come out under the Sony Music label and... DUN DUN DUN.... will hit the shelves February 15th !!! it is possible they just made a mistake or... maybe they get a different release date in Argentina and the rest of South America. the thing will leak, sooner than we all think. |

Why does this constantly get asked? Every. Single. Release. Cycle. I can't think of an album that hasn't leaked. Be it by a week, days, or months. It will leak, count on it. There's no reason to doubt it.
There's already been albums not out until February that have leaked. More leak every day. From both established and not-established acts.
I would actually bet on this leaking sooner than the norm in comparison to the last few Oasis records (altho DBTT was strange with the whole German itunes thing). Review copies are likely to go out earlier than an Oasis album because Beady Eye is not an established act in the mind of a casual music listener where many will wait to read about it first rather than just buy it. The reason for this is that the big corporate stores will want to gauge how many to have on hand when it hits the shelves, whereas Oasis is a lot easier to predict. If I was to bet, I'd say early January. Yep, a full month before official. I wouldnt be surprised if it leaked tomorrow the way 2011 releases have already started to leak.
Just to name a few that have leaked already that aren't out until 2011: James Blake, The Decemberists, Asobi Seksu, The Go! Team, Motorhead, Drive-By Truckers, and more.
