If TSOTL got to number 3, obviously it is impossible for "The Roller" to reach number 1. Not that it is that much worse than TSOTL, but BDI is no way gonna be bigger than Oasis in the charts. The tunes we've heard is quite good, but in no means groundbreaking. Anything below #100 in the Billboard 200 is a huuge surprise. I disagree. The Roller is far more 'radio friendly' than TSOTL and therefore could do a lot better. TSOTL only stayed in a good place for one week whereas I expect TR to have more longevity. Maybe only a little bit though.

The real question is, are Beady Eye gonna appeal to all the brainwashed chavvy kids of today? ...No! If its not the cheesiest Pop/RnB dogshite in the world then the kids won't be buying. Shame to say it but its true, Beady Eye will be lucky to even be half as popular as N-Dubz, haha.
That being said, I really think there's quite a good chance that the album could top the album charts for 1 week, but as others have said, it really is a question of what the competition will be that week. If Lady Gaga or JLS or some shit are gonna be putting out a new album that week then Beady Eye wont stand a chance. 1 thing we can say for definite though, is that Beady Eye will NEVER have a no.1 single... not anytime soon anyway. I think the highest we'll ever see any singles of theirs reach will be 5-10 in the singles chart. But HEY! Who gives a shit? I'm sure Liam & Co certainly don't. Just as long as they're selling out gigs then they're earning their money...

I looked at the release schedule and found that they have no real competition for number 1 on their 1st week with the album. They will collapse out of the top 5 the 2nd week though as Avril Lavigne, Elbow, Kanye West & Jay Z, Pet Shop Boys and REM are all releasing and will all go above it imo

I'm gonna stick me neck out here. Once all the boys like Gordon in The Sun's Bizarre column picks up on it - and they will - it'll hit number one.

Release dates are carefully chosen, so that there are few clashes between big releases. There are few new albums coming up in February, and BE will definitely have weak competition in the February 28th week. They have a great show at #1 at UK, and top 5 in places like Japan, Italy, maybe Ireland...
It's important to remember, though, that the Brit Awards will take stage at February 15, and acts like Take That (ugh) or The XX could make a comeback right after.
