It's not changing too much nowadays, but I'd love to see a new band entering.
Oasis The Beatles Travis Guns N' Roses REM The Coral The White Stripes BRMC Coldplay Simon and Garfunkel
The Kinks, The La's, The Beautiful South, Blur and The Dubliners also come close.

Great list, love that you mention ELO too. Thanks yeh, ELO are often overlooked or labelled as "guilty pleasures" because the music is really poppy I suppose but it's really good pop. Jeff Lynne is to be respected as well, a great talent

Yeah i think the fact they weren't the cool looking band they weren't give the credit they deserved and Mr Blue sky and Telephone Line are brillant tracks.

Second.....it was a tough list, a lot of difficult cuts from my top 11-12. The "Be Sharps" almost made it. Third.....technically they are on the list as "The Wonders". Captain Geech was their movie alter ego.

Difficult to rank these days, but Bruce Springsteen and Simon & Garfunkel would be up there, with Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Twilight Sad and Kate Bush in amongst the usual suspects.
