was just browzing through amazon.com, and saw this: www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=different+gear+still+speeding&x=23&y=15as of rite now, there's no 'domestic' version available for preorder--- just the imports (and expensive imports at that) now,, i remember both d.b.t.t. and d.o.y.s. being available on amazon for preorder, but i can't recall how far in advance they were up there... which leads me to wonder, just how readily available will this album be here in the united states (especially now since it 'isn't oasis') ... i ask because it wasn't long ago i recall searching for weller's latest record when it came out--- with no luck.

If Americans turned off the rap and the teen pop like Fall Out Boy and actually gave this album a chance, I think it would do very well in the US (going by the 30 second clips, of course). But sadly, that's not going to happen.

But sadly, that's not going to happen. You disagree? I think if Americans gave the album a chance, they would like it. I just don't see the masses over here buying it. America lacks a mainstream rock scene, while the UK has a more prevalent rock following, atm.

Beady Eye probably does not have an North American distribution partner yet. They're not Oasis (obviously) who were a different entity. Oasis had Sony do their distribution in the states.
If it does well in the UK, and by all indications it should just because of Liam's involvement, it will get released eventually in the US, or they could be working on that right now. Theres more than enough time to get something done.
You can also order it from Amazon.co.uk. NEVER buy the import version on any site. Always buy from the country of origin. It'll take a little longer to get there, but not by much. I buy CDs and DVDs regularly across all of the Amazon country specific sites. Even freakin Amazon.jp
Once a moron, always a moron. This has nothing to do with why theres no current US release scheduled. Its all rights issues that are specific to the country of origin.
Not necessarily. Canada has a relationship with many UK record labels and albums without a NA distribution deal will get distributed there after the initial UK/European date. A week late in that respect is pretty much a standard. Its not every release, but its definitely not uncommon.
My bet is that its being worked on right now and it will get released on the Tuesday after the Monday (US releases new albums on Tuesdays) as per usual and this will matter nothing. If it hits say late Jan/early Feb and nothing has changed, just order it from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.ca

Well, Sony are releasing the album on Japan (on Feb 23rd). I think it's a safe assumption that they'll release it world wide too.
